Quote:I had also some good experiences with Orange...
A lot of years later, in Japan, a guy from Orange wanted a special treatment from me (he was my customer) but I treated him like SHIT. He had already payed.
He tried to somehow show how important he was "You know, I work for Orange. Do you know Orange?".
And I thought too my self "I fucking know Orange, you asshole...".
Well they want me to call them Orange since FT bought Orange... but I still refer and talk to them as France Telecom... Orange is just a shit brand they bought so that they could hide a few things that would have set the French Workers Union on rampage.
Most of the people at FT have the Public Servant status, which means that they can't be fired, that their career advancement is planned from start by law and that their pay increase is planned yearly by law.
Most of the people at Orange are private sector... under one of the worst union agreement available in France.
When you are transfered ( they don't ask you, they just tell you you're redundant in FT and you need to go to Orange ) from FT to Orange depending on the mood you keep your contract ( then everything is well, but it's rare ) or they can try to coax you to quit the public contract to a private contract ( that's the standard procedure usually )... And if you are not happy they find you a shitty job and wait for you to go into depression ( or commit suicide... there's a few penal investigations going on around FT/Orange about HR and how they treated workers, in at least one case they have been recognized guilty )
Yeah everything is shiny in the wonderful word of Telecoms. ( sorry for the dripping sarcasm, couldn't resist )
