Update 15 warning: A new form of Pay-to-cheat in the DDO store

The voice of reason has become the prophet of doom.

Is it indeed, the end of the world as we know it?

I can't move it, maybe someone else will.  Drama would indeed be the more appropriate forum.

When there's a "Flagging requirement bypass" item in the store I'll be concerned.

Aside from Abbot, is there a raid that's even a tiny bit difficult to flag for?

I don't know man, it is my first time to TR in like 3 years of playing.  Abbot flagging now is really not that hard.  Sigil pieces drop rates are kinda high compared before.  I've been flagged for 3 lives now without running the raid.  I just hated that stupid fleshmaker quest.

Sigil piece drop rates were raised with all the other orchard drop rates, I always have minimum one sigil left over to take into the next life. Raid flagging is all of 20 extra mins (4x5 mins) on top of the Litany farming you're probably doing anyway.

Also, lol at at all the people in that going "no big deal, it's gotta be a test server only thing".

I'm not saying that Abbot sigil farming is hard.  I'm just saying that there isn't any raid flagging that's even possible to consider hard aside from Abbot.

Litany is good enough XP (and I've finally learned the path for Inferno) that I'd flag even if I were never going to step into another Abbot raid again.  And since there's a good chance that I'll never step into another Abbot raid again, that's probably a good thing.

You pretty much have to do the flagging anyway for XP if you are on a TR, so that's not even that big of a deal.  What else are you gonna do for XP at level 17 if not Litany?

Honestly I don't give a fuck. Your ability to run a raid  six or sixty times a week doesn't bother me a bit. Maybe less shitty geared PUGs as a positive. Honestly getting twenty Shroud completions in less time would be a nice investment for a toon you have extensive TR plans for. You getting a Litany or Torc more quickly  doesn't make a fuck to me.

My only problem is if they start reducing raid loot drop rates to compensate for people running raids more.

I mean, the new raid has what. A 3% chance to drop any raid loot?

I doubt it, how many people are really going to throw the RL money at Turbine to run raids often enough for it to matter? People will use it occasionally as a convenience.

I guess for people who have guildies available whenever they want to farm a raid who are also willing to buy the bypass timer tokens, it's all systems go.

Shrouds are few, Reavers are rare, and I can't remember the last time I actually saw an Abbot up.  For the people soloing DQ, I guess they can get their Torc for $10 or so but it seems a waste to me.

The only people paying to win will be the people who have guilds of people willing to run whenever they want... and they already have all this stuff.

I see this change as minimal.  The bag-trading exploit was a nuclear bomb compared to the firecracker of a raid timer pass.

I've known people who chug store pots instead of trying to conserve sp. I can easily see them hunkering down and running a raid 20 times in 3 days, especially if it only costs 95 tp a pop.

I'm not sure it'll happen often enough to justify it, but turbine has done plenty of stuff without any form of justification.

No need for a spoiler for the next raid lootwise.

Collect a fuckton of ingrediants shroudstyle and make something. (BTC ingrediants obv).

And prob will be super easy also in terms of flagging/getting to/completion.

I won't complain so long as it is fun. Like Lob fun, or the new raid fun (the first time through was a blast.)

You are the reason why we get shitty raids.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you ran citw on a caster, yes?

Eta: Turbine is the reason we get shitty raids. That, and people on ddo are too fucking dumb to actually run a true mmo raid. Ddo raids are easy as shit. There's even built in voice chat, which is sooooooooo not the norm.

Nope, a melee.  It was a boring and stupid raid.  This is excluding the stupid portal keepers.

I have played other mmos.  The thing is, all the raiders have mumble, teamspeak, and ventrillo installed.  That way, once again, everyone is able to communicate just like in ddo for raids.  The thing is, the raids in other mmos are fucking retarded.  The vast majority of the bosses are so fucking scripted, it is easy as shit.  The only thing you are doing, is finding out what the script is by wiping several times.  Granted, if you have a few noobs that cannot learn, it is detrimental.  This is why, in endgame raids on other mmos, noobs aren't allowed.

I just say "nty".  If I feel like being an ass I say, "When the raid drops anything useful for me, I will consider the option of pugging it with people who send random tells to me when I am in a quest".
