Nope, a melee.  It was a boring and stupid raid.  This is excluding the stupid portal keepers.

I have played other mmos.  The thing is, all the raiders have mumble, teamspeak, and ventrillo installed.  That way, once again, everyone is able to communicate just like in ddo for raids.  The thing is, the raids in other mmos are fucking retarded.  The vast majority of the bosses are so fucking scripted, it is easy as shit.  The only thing you are doing, is finding out what the script is by wiping several times.  Granted, if you have a few noobs that cannot learn, it is detrimental.  This is why, in endgame raids on other mmos, noobs aren't allowed.

I liked the entire raid up til those fucking necros+priestesses halfway through.

Ddo raids are easy to the point where our world firsts are accomplished with hours or release.

I've played endgame on GW, Rift, Wow and have seen quite a bit of Tera. The endgame in those game isn't as well developed as in ddo due to time of release, but WoW raids are tough enough to require actual coordination.

This is for those that may have managed to run lots of one raid on one character in the past - do raid chests even ransack for raid loot?

Yes they do.  They follow the same loot rules every other chest in the game follows.

Do other games have mechanics that can give you effectively un-limited blue-bar?

I'm sorry, got confused.  Are you talking about DDO or other MMOs?

Other mmos.  The only boss in ddo that has the potential to wipe groups is abbot.  If you are in a really really shitty pug, lob as well.

It is possible to get the group drunk enough to where every raid has the possibility of a wipe.  This is usually prefaced with Eric saying "Alright, lets just shortman it" and ends with him saying "I don't understand we've NEVER wiped on X before.  Oh right, SHOTS!"

Usually Reaver's. "How fucking drunk are we? We've NEVER wiped on Reaver's before." "And by never, you mean every time the last four weeks?" "Fuck you, Grace. SHOTS!"

I can't wait to make people pay 95 TP to let me yell at them!

Og and I'm so tired of the, "No loot is going to evar be passed again!!!" argument.  People said that when TR's were released, they said it when seals and shards were BTA, yet it's still a non-issue.  If anything, people will get what they want quicker (if they decide to utilize the raid timer bypass) and then put everything after up for roll!

Or just stop running the damn raid. I wonder whether Turbine thought that through.
