This is true and the rest of your post is insightful but the bugs and long standing issues are a part of the overall problem and customer dissatisfaction for me at least. There are so many things that we just ignore now as Turbinisms. These things start to stack up and really detract from game play. A list of simple fundamental things (so called quality of life issues) that have been broken so long or half finished they are almost features...
1) UMD/Item Equip Lag
2) Broken Agro Tables (Intimidate/Bluff/Deception: using multiple effects screws up the agro table still.)
3) Double Damage/Purple Damage not always applying not applying on some effects.
4) Casting targeting issues/range issues
5) MoB's moving when stunned, held, etc
6) Stupid AI
7) Useless PRE's and Destiny Effects - What good is a higher spell level when no spell dice go that high
8) Poor elemental spell variety
9) Half finished mechanics and systems throughout the game
10) Hit box issues with Melee effects (trip, stun, etc)
11) Quicken still has issues since spell pass
12) 75% of the spells in the game are useless
13) Inconsistent XP vs Challenge ratio across quests lines (Why does Bastion give less XP than Running with the Devils?)
...we could probably add another dozen to the list.
