I would recommend to drop one Bard level for a 3rd Rogue level which gives you 1d6 more Sneak Attack.
You will lose 6th Level Bard spells but that shouldn't really matter and 1 Spell slot in 1st and 5th level spells, BAB is the same, you gain 1 Fort save, lose 1 ref save (but gain 1 vs traps), HP are a wash, 2 more skillpoints whatever that is worth to you and access to Wrack Construct I
Last time I played a bard (might be a year back or more) not having Otto's Irresistible Dance surely hurt in some quests.

You won't need it most the time, but when you do need it it's definitely handy to have. Depends what content you're running too as you won't have the spell pen to dance anything with resistance (drow for example).
There are a lot more people running with stunning blow now with Dun Robar rings and such, so I'd say that irresistible dance it probably not as important as it once was for single target CC, but is definitely still handy from time to time.

Consider 15 bard. I'd take another fighter level. This is why:
You still gain:
1. Inspire Heroics/Inspire Excellence.
2. An additional feat (Toughness/Hamstring)
You lose:
1. Like what 30sp?
2. Otto's Irresistible Dance
Hamstring is one of those things that people don't notice but sure as hell appreciate when an EE mob or raid boss isn't ripping the face off of the tank/party as often.
The 3 rogue for sneak attack is cool, but my opinion is that you gain more utility taking a level in a class that will grant another feat.
The split allows to max utility, not dps. Pure melee classes will out dps you. It is what it is. But you have enough personal dps to be remain competitive. And far more survivability.
This really only applies though if you spend time past heroic cap getting some epic destiny xp. If you plan on tr'ing immediately it doesn't matter one iota. It all becomes flavor then.

His build already has two fighter levels, he doesn't get another bonus feat for taking fighter to level 3. Third level of fighter grants.......?

Fighter grants a feat at level 1,2,4,6,8 etc no feat at level 3 and you can't take Toughness as a fighter bonus feat and enhancement wise it also gives nothing.
And thanks Eyeran for mentioning that Otto's iss ueless without Spell Pen which this build does not have unless you have a buttload of wiz/fvs pastlives.

Ah yes. whoops! I mistook fighter 3 for 4.
Either way, losing Otto's isn't critical. Especially if he's doing a past life run and not running much capped content.

It's a past life build which won't see the light of epics.
Even though I'm loaded on wiz and fvs past lives i purpously neglected all the bard spell based CC-ing because I'll be mostly duoing with my TR buddy that's a wiz. However, fascinate should work flawlessly and stop anything in it's tracks.
SS is for more survivability and self healing since I'll be the one one that is gonna have aggro mostly. Melee DPS won't be near top notch but as long as I kill shit before it kills me I'll be happy with it.
/3 Rogue sounds interesting, extra sneak attack die and Wrack Construct are sexy and bard spells pretty much suck anyway, interesting option in any case.

It didn't suck. Stupidly hard to kill, fun as shit to play.
Ended up taking 2 more fighter lvls after 16 since lvl 5 bard spells are craptastic. Fascinate is stupidly good.
Think I didn't die more than 10 times total during this life.

If you want a Bard that doesn't suck, then wait for the enhancement revamp.

I'm currently running a dwarf bard15/rogue3/fighter2 build. At level 12 , took buffs as bard spells so i can solo fairly well.
