If it's a load balancer, that'd be ok as long as it can handle the traffic - I think some of the suspicion here is that it can't.

Not a load balancer... How do you balance load when you have 3 different games( with differnt number of real servers ), 3 web server, 3 authentication server, two dns servers and whatever else I haven't dug out behind you ?

And even if it was it's still a SPOF. and SPOF are big no no if you want a reliable service.

More seriously load balancing seems to be done by the pnap border router as it address two Turbine addresses... ( 154 and 170 )  Though it's probably a standard hashing code...

After 100+ posts trying to explain to the unwashed, uneducated masses that lag may be somewhere that is not server side or client side ( and probably is located in that neither world )

Whiners are still whining without putting innocent things like traceroutes and such.

Lets see if they can be educated.
