There could even be more than one on Dragon. Character names, as far as I know, are tied to account handles.  So I have a toon named Caale (@calebrus44), while someone else could have a toon named Caale (@WhateverTheirHandleIs).  This is even true on the same server unless I'm mistaken.

edit:  This is exactly why I use a specific email account for games that has no relation to me at all other than for gaming profiles.

I am on Mindflayer and I have a GWF named Stainer @ level 29. I played all day Sunday, which is something I haven't done in a MMO since last summer. I am going to make another character to run with Gawna today I think.

I've enjoyed it so far.  The rooting is a pain to get used to though.  Somebody(s) from the DDO art department has obviously gained employment at PWE, some of the NPC renditions are almost duplicates from DDO.  The gear swapping is a little nuts to maximize every 3-4 levels.

While it certainly has no, and I mean almost NO, character customization, it's entertaining from a quick paced game stand point.  I don't see the longevity in it, it's far too easy to hit 60 and open beta started on Tuesday.  Some Foundry creators have put together some seriously decent content, far better then recent DDO material and with less ability to create multiple levels, loot, etc..

Regardless, it's no tractor.

I'm stoked about The Foundry!  I just created an account, and I can't wait to try to re-create some of my homebrew D&D adventures and subject them on the unsuspecting players.  I can't promise that they'll be any good, but I'll have fun doing it.  Cheesy

It has voice chat, but I am not sure if it is turned on or not. I read the forums a little, and saw something about it being disabled. Not sure of the status.

Just a heads up, you need to have a character at 15th level before the Foundry opens up for use.  Probably something to do with understanding game mechanics or some such bullshit.
But getting to 15 won't take much time, so no big deal.

It has in-game voice chat, barely anyone uses it in pugland tho. Hearing voice is defaulted to on, but mic may be defaulted to off, not sure.

I am starting at around 6:30 Central if everything works out. She is on later (west coast). She is at level 10 so i have to catch up anyway. I will tell you the character name after I make him.

OMFG YOU CAN DO THE AUCTION HOUSE OFF LINE

YOU CAN TRAIN PROFESSIONS OFFLINE

It is like MyDDO but it works, has useful features and wasn't coded by poop flinging monkeys.

Honestly : poop flinging monkeys could do a better job at web coding than what Turbine showed lately.
The Forum update is so full of fail that I discover something new that broke from it every day.
No I'm not keeping a list of the broken things, it's not worth the paper nor the ink, as Turbine don't care.

I am Dreadler Downhaven on Dragon. Gawna said 'MAKE A CHARACTER ON DRAGON OR I WILL KILL YOU IN YOUR SLEEP" or something like that.

I tried it out last night, Opening cinematic was awesome... and that's where it stopped.

First disappointment was the fact that mouse look is constant there is not changing it. Second was the graphics seemed very outdated, On par with something like eq2. But I got past all that and went to kill some zombies. The first thing I notice is that every time I connect with a hit there is a split second pause like its the fucking matrix or something.

All in all I was excited to try it out since I like the setting better then eberon  but it is just to unpolished for me even as a beta.

I'm downloading the client right now.  I'm getting a download speed of about 28Kb/sec.  I guess maybe I'll be able to play sometime tomorrow...

Breaken, it does get better.
Hell, if you judge games based on the first little while of play, why did you ever continue playing DDO?  Think about it.  You start with some horribly boring quests, with mediocre graphics (as all MMOs have by design) and the combat animation consists of your character awkwardly swinging your weapon with the same annoying stiff animation.
But it gets better.
Same goes here.  It may be the new shiny thing that draws you in, but it honestly does get better post level 10-15.  Then there's the Foundry to keep the new shiny feeling with practically unlimited content.
Is it great?  No.
Is it good? Yes.
Is it pretty damned great for a completely F2P game?  Absolutely.  It's much better than I thought it was going to be, in any rate.

Yeah, I finally got into a 5-member party and ran the Cloak Tower (level 17). It was fun...there is definitely a ton of room for improvement, but that pretty much sold me on the game. It's a nice change of pace from ddo.
