Mine are gone.  It is not just a graphical error. Nothing being applied to xp  either.

My Greater Tome of Learning icon is missing from my Wizard.  I don't know about the XP since I'm XP capped at level 25 on that character, but it's still another disappointment from Turbine.

I'll go bug report it now.  Oh, wait...

That's what i'm understanding from the limited testing and the almost non-existent dev feedback from the forums.

Went ahead and logged on some chars I never ever play anymore, and some do have lost their tomes too.
I guess it's a good thing I kept those lesser tomes I got when reincarnating gave you new tomes each time... But I really hope they'll fix that.

Lost mine too, and no, it's not just a display bug.

If you'd have asked me three weeks ago, despite everything I'd have said I'd almost certainly buy the expansion, just 'cos.

Now?  No way.  Not unless they fix everything they broke with U18, and then some.  I had just capped a sorc life for the first time literally minutes before the server went down for the update.  I was greatly looking forward to trying the easy-button everyone was talking about.

Hmmm.  At L18, I was doing roughly 20% *more* damage than I'm doing now with full destiny gubbins and all twists.  I'm having to nickle-and-dime shit to death in Shiradi; not my idea of fun.  I'm down about 63 spellpower from where I should be (don't seem to be getting sorc capstone, Shiradi, fey form or implement bonus) and spell crits are completely hosed.

I've also had four quests bug out in 24 hours, which is fun.  That cost me upwards of an hour of XP pots waiting on GM's and/or having to finish out and start again.

I know a lot of people here reached this point some time ago, but I've only just got to the "OK, that's it, I've pretty much had enough now" stage.  I wasn't playing a great deal, due to life happening as much as the flaws with the game, but this evening will be devoted to downloading NWO.

Of course, my decision to not purchase the expansion is assisted somewhat by the fact that it's a steaming pile of crap.  Cosmetics?  Meh.  Owlbear?  That would be the only compelling bit and it's totally useless by all accounts.  Epic XP tome?  Oo, goody!  No, wait, I have all my destinies capped on three toons already and have no plans to bother with any more.

At least the skill tomes would help with all those checks I was faili...  no, wait, I'm not actually having problems with skills on any toon I care about.

Never mind.  Access to the new raid will make it all worthwhile, except there probably isn't one.  And, just to keep vaguely on-topic, all of my greater tomes of learning have gone, and the bug reporting tool is down.

The forums are gefucken so I can't even find out what the devs are saying, and every build I have is scheduled to be nerfed into bite-sized chunks in the overly-restrictive and ill-conceived enhancement pass.  The only conclusion I can draw is that at some point in the last six months they've hired the King Midas of Crap to work on the game, and everything he touches turns instantly to shit.
