Can someone teach me how to max/nearly max out my crafting levels in a week or something? I've got the plat I'm sure, I just don't know where to start Sad

In a week... That's going to be a lot of plat.

Make sure you have a supply of crafting XP pots, either from House Cannith favor or from challenge farming.

Figure out how much you are willing to spend per greater essence, then buy every cheap thing on the AH that is likely to decon into enough essences to still be under that number.

If you want to reset your recipe XPs to get past some of the higher levels, TR to reset all of your crafted shard totals to get more XP.

Otherwise, it's just going to be bouncing between the bound/unbound crafting machines crafting whatever recipes give you the best xp to essence spent ratio.



There is a guide website that lives on someone's home computer and is occasionally up and running ( http://cannith-crafting.dyndns-web.com/crafting_tool.html ). You enter in your level and it tells you the most efficient way to level up from there.  If that website is ever up, it may help a lot.

Damn. So can someone explain crude vials to me? I TR pretty often, so it seems like a good idea. I really just want to craft up to the point where I get all the good stuff (flexible shards) and quit.

I really wish they didn't go into your inventory in tiny little trickles for about 10 minutes after clicking "Buy".  :/  Mind you, that's not a problem I expect to ever have to face again unless Turbine revisit the system and raise the cap.

Masterfully Crafted ML13 +7 Stat gear FTW!!!  Honestly I don't expect Cannith Crafting to get any attention or update.
I suspect the dev that put it all together is no longer with Turbine (or Feather the Suck became his boss)

Taking into consideration ...
-Nerfs to some recipes (hairy eyeball toward Superior Stability and Attack Bonus +4)
-Augment Slots,
-Nerf's and outright destruction of Risia Recipes (Sup Glaciation IX removed from ML8 scepter you fucker)

It seems that Feather the Shit is out to break or nerf to obsolescence ANYTHING he didn't have his Pretentious Douchy Hipster hands in creating.

I'd /sign for Cannith Crafting Update but would rather it be forgotten lest it be nerfed to oblivion.

turn of auto gather on the bag(s) that shit goes in, it will land in 1k stacks in your inventory instead stacks of 25 in your bag which updates after each stack is gathered

Nice, thanks for the tip.  I wish I'd known about it a long, long time ago, but thanks anyway  Smiley

Honestly, I'd advise anyone not to make the effort any more.  The only thing Cannith Crafting still had going for it was the flexible shard thing, and now you can get almost anything in almost any spot from lootgen - with a lower ML and higher value than from crafting - it's barely worth using even when you've already got it capped.  It's so not worth the time to cap it these days.

Well, not apart from fight club, but they'll catch onto that eventually.

Works with LRs too.


I found that by using the crude vials to make the bound shards, then doing a grind on everything I could that was worth doing, then doing the free LR, then redoing all the bound shards with crude vials, I could usually get a high enough crafting skills to use the crude vials to do start doing the unbound shards.

Anyway, if you're going to do an LR on any toon, you might as well use the crude vials first and see how it works.  Having moderate crafting skills on a toon can save the effort of relogging to your crafter for a lot of crap.

an additional tip for all human crafters: use dragonmark of making in combination with vials... and reincarnation

for example:
vials until level 56-57
swap feat to get dragonmark =>lvl 60
vials until level 66-67
get lesser dragonmark enhancement for +3 levels =>lvl 70
vials until 76
get greater dm enhancement =>  lvl 80
vials until 85

reincarnate => 75... and start again

Just have friends/guildies that duped tens of thousands of them, and that are probably capped at crafting, give you the mats... then click for a week straight.. even if you have endless mats... that shit is so fucking boring and too much of a grind for me.. but good luck..

My method works best if you got some spare hearts lying around, or you're ready to TR.

Use crafting xp pots.

Crude vials, until you can't get XP any more, and can't make the next tier of bound or unbound shards of potential.   

Then sort the shard making machine by XP and try to make all the things that give you more than 150xp (I try to aim for 200), and cost the least ingredients.  Check the unbound shard making machine too.

You get extra XP for crafting above your level, but you have a higher failure rate.

If you didn't dupe your mats, then don't go too crazy.

Now do a lesser reincarnation. 

This will reset the bonus XP available for crafting above your level.

So, go back to using Crude vials.
Once you can't get XP for making bound shards, check the unbound machine.
If you still can't make unbound shards of potential, grind some stuff using normal mats, if you got some.
Start making unbound shards of potential, or skip to the next step if you still can't.

Do a Lesser or a TR, when you can, and start over with the crafting.

While waiting for LR timers, do some favor grinding and deconstruct everything.

Of course, you can buy success rate boosters and mats from the store if you want.  But I think it's more fun when you don't pay.
