Yes, tossing heal scrolls on some melee is certainly what I would use a caster for.

When the shit hits the fan, I'd rather stop spamming procs and start tossing raises/heals than watch the raid wiping.
Essentially, these monk feats are 60 extra HP, aren't they?

OK. Please, explain to me like I'm five what the benefits of 2 Monk over 2 Rogue are. I seem to miss something.

2 monk gets you 6+ dodge (4 centered, 2 ocean, plus however many Forms feats you take), +3 fort/+3 will more than rogue, another 2+ universal saves (ocean and Forms feats), and +3 dodge/+3 dodge cap from enhancements, which I don't see in rogue at a quick glance. And +5 force/fire spellpower for 1AP. And two feats, at least one of which is basically any feat you want since you were probably taking Toughness anyway.

Interesting, and compelling points.
For the stance/centered-related bonuses, one has to bear in mind that this limits your weapon choice to Qstaffs and Kamas.
Currently, the most interesting weapons I have for my caster are +10 Resonance of Sonic Lore and +8 Impulse of Kinetic Lore. One of these has a red slot so I can get a proper element (glaciation in my case). The spell power and the crit chance are higher than you would get from Twilight. But these weapons wouldn't allow me use Stance as they are not Kamas.

Twilight+Sage's cuffs until you can get a Thaumatargy Impulse Kinetic lore.

As long as Thaumaturgy's specific Lores are as low as 6%, you might as well just stick to Twilight anyway if you're using a blue scale. Oh, and don't forget the EE Ingots, which are quite nice before getting Twilight. Maybe a Thaumaturgy Stick with Efficient Maximize II is something to have a look out for.
Having the choice between a bit more oomph (with random generated non-Kama weapons) and the additional defense pack by being centered with Twilight et. al. is something which allows some easy switching options for EH vs. EE.

Lol what? Twilight is what's 6%. Thaumaturgy is 20% at enhancement value 20. Remember that if you have a lootgen from pre-u19 the description (but not the effect) for specific lores is off by 10%.

I'd love to make some uber splash builds but I hate TR'ing and knowing Turbine they will change the game mechanics next update and pures will be uber again. I'd make a pure Wizard, to keep my DC casting options open. I'd probably be running Shiradi 99% of the time anyway, it's just so much easier than trying to beat EE saves.

Use your heart already? Even if you did, a splash is a +5 heart away, unless you really want 14/4/2.
Pures have been anti-"uber" since U14 and will never be uber again with the new enh system. Time to embrace the new world order.

You could splash 2 monks with Ins Reflex and have decent evasion. Just buy a +3 Hjeart if pure come back to the best builds like you said.

My write up from DDO forums:
https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/423364-U19-shiradi-WF-sorc-build-prime...
Which splash are you playing, and why did you choose that version?
I'm leaning towards FvS, but I'm apprehensive about the lack of defense: Only 24 PRR (14% damage reduction) once Displacement, 11% Dodge and Ghostly are bypassed. If I went Monk, I'd have 24% Dodge total.

I don't invest any money and very little time into DDO anymore. The challenge for me now is maintaining an EE capable character with a minimum of time and effort. I've only logged on a couple of times since U19 to check out the new enhancement trees.

Ok. So, I've been working on my shiradi guy.
I have messed up TWO lrs so far.. So, atm I am 15/3/2 wiz/fvs/mnk. I don't know whether to add or subtract a fvs lvl.. But it's fine as is.
I'm rocking 25% dodge; 65-68 reflex (will be past 70 when I get all my int items/tomes).
It's pretty nice. I need to get more PRR.
I have about 800 HP atm. But that will go up. I have some better gear I can get for sure. Plus, that's minus a t3 shroud HP item. I actually have one. but it's not cleansed.
I use Sage cuffs for kinetic lore and I grabbed a lvl 28 Thaum staff with impulse. I think it's 144. So, I don't really see a reason to even get a twilight atm unless I'm missing something. I got bluescale on too.
Here's something I'm thinking about though: I DO miss/like the idea of elec sorc's no knockdown and the wings ability. It would help. Also, lower sorc cooldown is nice in theory.
But, I haven't been able to figure out a good way to get the same defenses AND keep the fvs mana proc thing. That thing is REALLY handy.
I have been able to solo some EE. Last night I did EE break in the ice. The end fight takes a while.. But it's pretty doable.
EDIT: Btw, I'd be curious at the kind of damage you guys have seen. So far, like 6.3k is the highest i've noticed. Usually I don't see
huge
numbers. There's just
a lot
of numbers. FYI, I've only been playign this guy as a shiradi for a couple of weeks. (aka maybe 15 hours of game time or less. So, I still have things to learn.)

A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

The Guardian's Ring is 24 PPR, plenty IMO. I haven't died legitimately a single time from melee since I switched to updated gear w/Guardian's Ring. A few lag deaths and other bobbles, but nothing from being unable to handle incoming melee damage.

I've gone 16/2/2 Wiz/Fvs/Rogue for levelling (will probably switch rogue levels for monk at cap, but I'm a soloer) and I find myself wishing I'd gone 4 levels of FvS for the extra crit chance and even cheaper metamagics. I like PWS and Otto's, but too many things have too much spell resistance, and with no feats or gear slots dedicated to overcoming it I'm getting blue shields more often than I'm comfortable with on a 2nd-life toon.
Despite what you might think, the rogue skill aspect is just fine; I'm not having any trouble hitting about 76 search and 80 DD at L21. My OL doesn't get everything yet though, I admit.
I still sigh for the days when pure DC casting was a thing every time I log on to that toon though... :/

Dry humor is the best humor.
This is my first "real" caster. I did a caster Druid but that's mostly CC and summons with some instakill, never really played a spell-slinging caster before. I've always been worried about doing enough damage and/or having enough SP to make it through content. This build seems like it helps overcome those obstacles for me, plus since it starts at 15 and has a sweet cheap Recon I can enjoy it right off the bat.
Just slowly acquiring gear for it and messing around in explorers. I still haven't had the courage to have a pug essentially pike me though any elites yet.
