Some of the Sschin quests have 80+ OL doors...which is helpful to have to keep Death Undone shorter.  Maze (gh) is 80 on dd.  I have not checked out the new crap yet, but it is likely higher than 80 on dd checks.

Ok cool.

I should be able to get OL and DD into the 60's before d20 once I get a bunch of +20 competence, +5 enhanced, +8 ability, +2 insightful and +6 skills items to back them up.

With 0 ranks spent, I call bullshit.

Fleshmaker and Vol.

You actually can do it with GH, stat item, skill item.  It sounds crazy but yeah, it's doable.

I put points into OL these days just to not have to craft or carry an additional item around.  My inventory when tr'ing is full enough...

And why in the flying sam hill would you go 16/2/2 anymore?  Especially if you are accustomed to playing a melee?

Change your split.  Pick up divine might.

That's all the advice I'm willing to give you.  You should know this by now...

No actually you cant.  With 0 ranks open lock is N/A.

Really? hahaha!  Okay then.  I suppose you don't treat OL on a splashed rogue or arti like tumble.  You only need one point if you are going heroic to knock a life out.

I'll always put at least 1skill point into when possible. Mostly though I ignore locks & traps.

You are a fortunate man.  Every single tr I do where I choose to ignore it I end up regretting it later somehow.  Last life with my main was a Cleric run.  Had to skip Von5 for example.  This life doing bard.  I know I'm going to regret it at some point.

I love the pain. Grin

Doing a variant of my Elka build.  15bard/1clr/4ftr.  I am going to regret it I'm sure.  I hate depending on someone else for anything when playing.

I like to make my characters versatile so they can solo and contribute to a group. Whatever situation they are in, they will usually have something unique to offer.

Even on a tactics build I don't think the extra +12 or so Cha mod to Str is going to be as important as what you give up. I'd much rather drop a small amount of personal DPS to have Evasion, locks and traps.

Enhancements are really stretched with the splits. I have to either skip any Str or sprint boost from the Warchanter tree in order to get skill boosts from the Rogue trees. That is if I want to have the mana regen song available, which I hardly ever use.

Well at least I have options, I can always respec for Challenge/Event farming and grouping for raids etc.

Yep that's huge, even if I have to twist in both +6 to Reflex to make it no-fail.

Pretty much have to for some traps.

I disagree.

The problem with a lot of folks these days is lack of twich.  I'd suppose that's a debate for another day.

Nonetheless, I like str based bard builds.  If you are planning to run a 16/2/2 split in current endgame you are going to be behind in a few ways.  Yes, you can shore up your trapping skills.  But yes, you will lose out in other areas.

Evasion is nice to have.  But I don't see it as needed outside of situations like Blue Dragon in Tor.

It can make for an interesting debate though, I'll concede that.  Ottos irresistable got some help with recent updates.  SR check situations are down.

Evasion is not for traps, dumbfuck.

I disagree and I play a very twitch oriented style. Having a high Reflex save and/or Evasion is huge. Being able to get traps and locks is just downright convenient. Not worth trading for single digit attack/damage/tactics modifier on an LD melee with Fascinate and Otto's.

Some boxes are inside traps.

16/2/2 is doable if you're doing a pdk using celestias, in which case str is useless, but otherwise, yes, I'd pick up divine might.

If you actaully had a clue what you were talking about either, you would be able to extrapolate on that. But of course like Diddledoo, you have no fucking idea how to judge what is good or bad in DDO.

Now do I have to start following you around the forums writing single sentence troll replies to all your posts, like you are doing with me? Is that what passes for trolling these days at the Vault?

Guys like you and the other diddlefucks giggling like schoolgirls as you circle jerk about having 'trolled' Astra on the 'public area', because you got a disdainful reply to a nonsensical post? Roll Eyes

My responses to other posters are more substantial. You're just not worth more than one or two sentence of my time.
