Has anyone TRed into a BF stick build yet? What splits are you taking? Has anyone tried it with a maxed trip DC? Epic blademark's is actually still not a totally unattractive option (given exactly how many decent docents are out there) and I think with it you should be able to get 70+ DC. Viable for EE?

Well, I'm not doing it as a BF, but it could be converted:

Tier 5 Henshin mystic, 20ish AP in racial (improved power attack, toughness, recon SLA if BF), 11 AP in EK (mage armor & shield SLAs, and then mostly for the secondary effects), 11 AP in ninja (ninja fade), 4 in Thief -Acrobat.

Buff and utility spells; Knock, in particular, since it lets you dump Open Lock and you will be skill point tight. Reconstruct, Tenser's Transformation, and one open level 6 spell (Acid Fog, Disintegrate, Greater Heroism are all good choices here), and 2 level 7 spell slots.

Max staff DPS; Sireth will be better and faster than eSoS. Tenser's Transformation will have to be cast instead of toggled, but that is an option; there is no other way to get Staff Specialization, and the negative level strike is invaluable.

I don't like trip; if it doesn't incapacitate them, you might as well save the feats and just use grease/acid fog/ice storm/etc.

It will require a +1 LR for BF, although you could so something similar with 12 sorc/6 monk/2 paladin; better saves, but lower DPS and no trapping.

Ok Thanks! Here it is on Lama:

Seemed good against the kobolds(not that that means anything!)

*Really* clicky intensive, and that's without LD even being maxed out...Heh.

I think I will do the free LR+0 on Lama and almost good 2 go.

Any other glaring weaknesses or?(for enhancements?)

Thanks in advance again, the feedback is greatly appreciated(thanks for being patient peeps!)

I was looking at more melee-oriented builds. The whole point of the SLA to me is the opportunity to ignore hamp + coccoon or arcane levels on a robot as a limiting factor for the build. The better split to me is still 13/7/1 rogue/monk/fighter. I was really hoping to hear from anyone who's tried max trip DCs on this split to see whether sweeping strikes + improved trip make for good AOE crowd control in EE. I really should get download Lamma client, but I don't have a vast amount of hdd space to play with at the moment. I do have a toon I could TR into it, but I don't have a lot of levelling gear for him

I'm not wild about trip for cc; yes, you can theoretically get the DC about 5 points higher than stunning blow, but it's not as good (doesn't render them helpless) and costs 2 feats.

The build I posted was one I built as a suggestion for someone who "wanted it all," i.e. melee dps, casting, self heals, trapping, etc, and I built one up to theorycraft my next TR.

What about 12 monk/4 rogue/4 paladin? Imp evasion, shadow veil,  abundant step, divine might, incredible saves, as much thief-acrobat as you can spare from henshin, racial and ninja lines. You could even squeeze in combat expertise and improved trip without too much trouble.

+ 1 DC from blademark's over stunning weapon and +3 from the TA enhancements... hmm, it's really not that much more is it, and without helpless it's not helping with DPS. Ah well. I guess dropping it saves 3 ap and two feats.

Yeah, that was pretty much the other split I looked at. That or 12 monk / 4 rogue / 4 fighter for three extra feats and access to tier four Kensei, but without needing to taking combat expertise and improved trip I'm not sure the extra feats are that attractive and I'm certain you don't have enough ap to take everything you want from three trees up to tier four.

Sigh, it seems like every build I want to make needs about 20 - 30 more AP than are available. That'd make for a cool feat... simply granting you additional AP, not too many, maybe like 5 AP per time the feat is taken... it would make fighter/monk centered builds even more ridiculously OP though, unless it was restricted to only be taken once.

It's the curse of the monk; too many good trees, you want to spend AP in them all; TWF is even worse.

That's why 4 paladin is so attractive (well, that and not having to LR a BF): 11 AP in KotC for CHA to STR bonus without twisting in US, and if you can spare another 6, it gives a 3rd boost. Everything else pretty much sucks.

It's ranger/monk that always kills me; you have to have shintao, but ninja is really nice too, henshin has some great stuff, and tempest is amazing, but if you have a nice racial tree....!

Extra AP would be nice, but I think it would be simpler to just lower the AP cost of some of the enhancements.

That's unlikely because the higher AP cost gives the illusion of making meaningful choices.
