Well as long as you don't link the Vault and don't write The Vault it's relatively safe.

Nope.

I made an extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) oblique reference to the Vault in my last DDO Forum post almost a year ago and have been banned ever since. This happened 51 weeks after I got my first permaban rescinded. I hadn't had a SINGLE infraction in almost a year and this incredibly minor reference got me booted.

Still pissed about that.

and just for rest so that I'm not a retard/yes man and it seems it wasn't clear enough : I'm on the council.

Congratulations, Flav. I hope this will involve legitimate communication (eg, dealing mostly with QA rather than "community" people), and that you are able to make a difference. Glad to see you on there.

If it turns out to be Mournlands 2.0, do you think you'll stick it out for the full year?

Note to any Turbine staffers reading this, and one I genuinely hope you share around the office: DDO has become a shit game because y'all have made it a shit game. Once it was great. Now, it's a festering puddle of monkey diarrhea. No matter how you try to justify it, or pat yourselves on the back for doing great jobs... it's a shit game now because of you. Y'all keep on giving the players the middle finger, and you keep expecting us to reward you for the abuse. I've had it with you narcissistic fuckwads and your myopic policies of ineptitude.

It rarely worked on ML so its hard to see how its going to work with the council.

Unless the whole point to them scrapping ML was an admission that it didnt work and they really do want a new system which will involve player feedback.

But the problem is, they dropped ML. They havent dropped the Devs who refuse to change their mind on their ideas no matter how negative the playerbase is.

If Strak's source is right, that is a little unfair. If they are correct, there's been a pile of leave the fucking torc alone discussions that have gone on which
I personally have been glad hapoened.

We won't see until we get the full list, but right now i see a balance between full retard with hirelings (hi Fran!) ptw but quite dedicated in his own way (hi Fawn!) some oldschool, (hi Hafeal, hi Flav!)

I would like to see some "uber" players too. But I suspect that the people that spend money fall more into one of the above camps

It isn't terrible. Way back when I was in Mac I actually managed to torture myself with a 45 mins at least guild run of elite walk the butchers path. And those guys spent a ton on the game. I don't mind them picking spots on the council for casuals as a thing - as long as they understand what they are doing..

Oh and "hi", with no welcome expected.

Yay! Smiley

Good to see ya posting.  And I'll be more talkative next time.  Was getting my rear handed to me doing into the deeps on Crom in a party that liked to die every few seconds, lol.  I was a bit distracted at the time.

Especially pleased to see you can post here now if you wish Smiley

Are we sure about that yet?  I too have been concerned about that possibility.  There are many other powergamers who would be much more effective in that respect.  No disrespect intended to him.

A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

The problem is you will never know what was said and done on ML because it will never be made public, just like we will never see detailed conversations from the PC being made public, that flow of info will be controlled by Turbine so it will be as transparent as they want it to be.

I will say this the devs on the game now are not the same as the devs a year ago and their level of communication is ten times better than many of the older devs who were all about super secret and could care less about player feedback, and you don't need to be a mournlander to see that.
We also need to understand that listening to feedback doesn't always mean they will change their mind either, they will also have 30 different view points that have different opinions so they will have to sort through the mist and decide on the best course of action which may still upset one group or another.

What about someone who definitely isn't uber but who hangs around a lot of uber players and listens to their stuff and knows what they care about? Would that be ok?

Only thing im curious about is whether or not any caught & banned dupers made it.

I have little hope for a council that completely ignores that section of the playerbase.

Well Referencing The Vault as Somewhere Else, or as a Third Party Forums didn't earn me anything.
As far as I can tell people gets the hint quite well.
