Jeez, some of you are REALLY dumb.

That is a list of bugs that have been FIXED.

That list is mostly comprised of coding issues that were known prior to release of that paid content. They didnt have time to fix or implement things due to the desperate need for sales data. I find it very hard to classify these as Bugs. They are more like a punch list. The actual list of bugs is vast and will not be addressed.

I'm sure the list of bugs that haven't been fixed is MUCH longer and would certainly NOT have been published publicly.

Shhhh! You're spoiling all the fun. I love it when this happens --

It's important to print this stuff to the community. Seriously, we need to know when bugs actually get fixed.

Thank you.

I'm more concerned that the post classes these as 'annoying'. It makes it sound like none of them are serious issues & have been brought up by a bunch of whiners

oh... wait...

Hum, is it possible to get an updated list of reported and to be fixed bugs like once a month? If i report a bug I'd like to see that it is acknowledged and (maybe) to b worked at sooner or later.. that would probably also make people stop thinking "ah, not worth it to report bugs because they never notice my reports anyway.." (i've heard that more than once by ppl...)

That's a really good idea and would surely save some aggro to Turbine if people can see that the bugs they have reported are at least noted to be looked at.

I don't suppose they will though  Undecided

It probably wouldn't stack with Earth Stance even if it did work (at all) with wraps... after all, it doesn't stack with the Kensai crit multiplier increase or the Acrobat stick version of the same thing  Undecided

That would have been ok. I'd have been just as happy to be in Air Stance. That extra crit multiplier is the main reason for Earth stance anyway as far as I am concerned.

1)  QA doesn't and shouldn't prioritize bugs.  That's up to management, product owner, etc.

2) There are tools that can give nice executive level dashboards for defect tracking, I have no idea what Turbine uses though.

Wouldn't the online bug reporting tool being functional help in that regard?

So let me get his right, the limit on your job description is to identify bugs and that's it?
So you have no responsibility for prioritising them in terms of game impact?
And have no responsibility to see that they are in fact fixed by someone else in the team?
So once you have identified a bug, it gets filed in the NMP (not my problem) tray for future shredding?

I did not expect that QA would personally fix bugs, but I did expect that they were the last line of defence before code went live, and had ultimate responsibility to ensure bugs were managed.  I guess that explains a lot then (like recurring old bugs).

That's actually pretty much how QA works in most places.  QA finds the bugs and then the project manager decides whether he/she gives a crap about those bugs.

I like Earth Stance because it makes people think my DPS is less shitty than it really is.

I'm not in game's development (thank god), where your customers are your defacto beta testers these days, but in our QA/QC group, if we let shit out the door, we go broke because people act on it and our reputation gets sullied.
So QA is the arbiter of what goes out to clients.  Even though shitty work is not our fault, we are responsible for making sure a client never see sit.
Our authority is cross-functional - we work across teams and managers to get things fixed.  It's a thankless job, but life's like that.
And it seems to work (we're still in business and haven't been sued yet).

when I did it we'd find and report all the bugs, send it back to the codeflunkies to fix, they'd fix 75% and say they fixed 100%.  when we called them on the 20% they forgot to fix, they'd spew some bullshit (and it was always bullshit) about how the system wouldn't allow them to do what the users wanted and it was take it or leave it.

oh and and of course they'd always find a way to create a bunch of new bugs and get them slipped into live behind our backs.

Was being sincere. I don't know if they're fixed or not - but I thought the original post said 'these are the fixed bugs that used to annoy the community.'

Atm, I'm not going to go back and read it though to make certain.

Turn your chair around, stand up and tell Jerry the fucktard to UPDATE THE GOD DAMN KNOWN ISSUES THREAD.

It is your job in the Q department to let people know they are failing.

He finally added the poison one after MONTHS of reporting:
https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/417975-Poison-traps-turbine?p=5260221&...

Simple things such as Unyielding Sovereignty doesn't remove negative levels for example.

How about checking other things such as :
