Tying to get my caster a past life going, but also want something to fill out the Melee EDs

Requirements: Sorc or Wiz past life, Melee, probably a WF.

18/2: Sorc/Pally. Unkillable with the saves, and with divine might would have good dmg. THF and cleaves.

12/(8?)6/2 Sorc/Bard/(Fighter or rogue). Thinking Wizard could be good for CM SLA, but that might be doing to much, and stick with Cha to Dmg on a Sorc? I dont have harper, so Int to dmg wont work

Dont know how much of this stuff plays well together/is broken. Any pointers before I flesh out the build would be appreciated.

If you're looking for going round all the spheres on one build, I'd ignore sorc/wiz and go straight to swashbuckler.

PDK 17bard/3fighter.  Use PDK to get cha for to hit/damage.  Stack up on int as your secondary stat, (know the angles).

That leaves you with a good hybrid build that you can use as a DC nuker in Draconic, and then work round the spheres without too much effort.

So you want to know about an exploit?

Why not?  The only quest you need to do on EE is Haunted Halls.  The rest can be soloed on HE.

Or go run through high road and storm horns during a tr at 18. Recently I pulled a HE treads of falling shadow, that was totally worth it. Storm Horns are fun on heroic and the end rewards and the gloves from break ice are good, although I would want HH for the ml 18 version.

Ah, did not know Harper tree was a favor unlock. I will have that by the time I TR. 12 wiz with int to dmg might be lots of fun, Ill look into fleshing that out.

Dont want 17bard /3 because I want to get a Sorc or Wiz past life out of this TR, so he wont be at 28  or end game long. (I do have a bard, and he is fantastic Smiley )

I was keeping it simple.  Also, the saga reward for those chains is totally worth running.

I have this build. With the rog haste boost, and know the angles, I can dish out more dps than a lot of melees I run with. Going with enchantment focus for mass hold I can really deal a lot of damage. It is still a work in progress and I was going to post the build after I do an epic TR. I used the +20 heart, and the free lesser, but still fell a little short. I think I have it dialed in though.

It is kind of ridiculous to sacrifice only 1-2 DC on my caster and have like 80% of the melee DPS of a paladin.

It really is disgusting. It is a very specific build though. I only have enough room for one set of spell focus feats. Landing the mass hold is key. If you love to fight, undead and shit that can't be held you lose a lot of DPS. I have been rocking it out in Gianthold quite well though.

Thanks, I'd had  been thinking about that one more recently. I'm not sure my DCs will be great, as I dont have much int or enchantment gear (and he wont be at 28 long enough to get it).

Would it be useful to go with a deeper splash, maybe even as much as 6 rogue or monk?

Going any deeper than 3 of something else would take away mass hold, and depending on where and how you plan to level, this could matter to you. The main problem is action points. You won't have enough left over to get very far into the rog/monk trees to make a deeper splash worthwhile.

Of course I could be totally wrong, go find out for us.

I have swapped my pure wizard over to a 18 wiz / 2 Fighter.

My DC's are high enough for anything in the game right now (Including EE MoD) while pumping out about 65% of my pally's red name melee dps.  I slotted heavy armor and between 148 PRR and Shadow Guardian death aura is enough to keep my red bar filled in almost any content.

I posted it on the main forums here: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/455033-Blade-of-Velsharoon but for those that can't access those forums the build is posted in the following post.

The build was even more fun before they fixed Legendary Shield Mastery to not work with Orbs anymore

It is also a decent amount of DPS and DC loss as you will not have Lich form.  Between the Negative damage on attack, +4 int and +4 con, it is very difficult not to take it.

Your better off sticking with Necro focus over enchantment.  With a mid-60s enchant DC you can hold everything but EE Orc Priests in WGU with 95% success.

Better off to have a high necro so you can insta-kill along the way and still have good melee dps when on cool-down or for red/purple named
