INT Based THF Jug

16 arti/2 ranger/2 monk still? 16 arti/4 pally? Thoughts on splits? Traditional jug was nice but with the harper tree I think an int based would be better, just too lazy to figure it out, and google is hard, yo.

I forgot "Jugs" existed.  I would think a new Jug would really be 14 Paladin 5 Rogue 1 X for ranged and 16 Paladin 2 Ranger 2 Fighter THF.

For a classic THF split it would probably be 16 Artificer 3 Paladin 1 X.

Old jug builds can't really compete anymore.

Maybe a arti/rogue/bard swashy mech would be viable?

probably. It's the only way to get a crit improvement for non-pally/fighter/barb melees unless going with mauls in LD.

Yeah, if deadset on Int-based THF pally might be the way to go since you can cast holy sword for both melee and ranged,...but then you still don't have enough feats to not be doing one of them half-assed.

11 ranger is a good way to get the melee + ranged feats you need to be effective as a hybrid. Then you have to go barb to enhance your criticals. 11 Ranger/5 Barb/4 whatever. Maybe 12 Ranger/6 Barb/2 Fighter

I played around with 16a/3p/1x swf DAxe with Headman's Chop. Its decent enough for an arti past life

I want something that can trap, I'm tired of losing xp because we don't have a trapper. Anything with a pally in it won't have enough skill points to make that happen. I can see a bard trapper, and will look into it.

18int and human works. Did a pally build with 2 arti levels a few lives ago and had enough to max trapping + other skills. With that much investment figured why not go full int based as well with harper.
