If you had dragonmark feats or something else that became obsolete, then you should have a feat respec token in your feat list. Go see Fred. If that doesn't work,...well that was the reason they gave out those +20 hearts, remember?

I did have a respec token, it gave me feats for 6 and 9 (dragonmarks) but 3 was just gone. I used a plain LH, I'm still saving my +20 for something really bad Smiley The client hung in the middle of LR, but I just waited and after about 1/2 hour it recovered and I finished.

I'm pretty sure they upped the drop rate at some point. I never farmed for it before, but both time I bothered going out there recently I pulled one (after a reroll or 2.)

I'll give it a try and report back when either I get it or give up  Smiley

Do you have a feat chosen later on for which the lvl three feat is a pre-req?  If you do, the pre-req will not show up in the list of feats to change.  Took me a while to figure that out last time I visited Fred, was trying to swap out point blank shot and couldn't find it, forgot that I had taken Combat Archery, so I had to swap that out before PBS became available.

They have definitely upped the drop rate. I farmed mine for my current ranger life, and it took me precisely 8 runs (I was counting) to get two. You can manage a full cycle on a quickly specced out  barb or monk human vet 7 with dragonmark ddoor in about two minutes. If no vet 7 go with a low int (so not too many skill points to set in creation) iconic sorc with haste and ddoor. Not quite as fast run speed and takes longer to create the character, but one shots the rare obv.

I went through my list of feats and looked for that, I was pretty sure I accounted for all, but it's always possible that I missed one. But it's too late to check again, I already used the heart. The fact that I was 14 and respecked 6 and 9 with tokens and 12 with plat and dragonshards means it would have had to be an enhancement prerequisite, and I only had 12 AP spent (I hadn't finished re-allocating AP since the enhancement crash) so that also seems unlikely, but possible. I don't know if my guild mate has used her heart yet, I'll ask about her feats if she hasn't.

OK, I think I found the bugged feat. She gave me her feat list. I think she (and probably me too, though too late to confirm) had Toughness at level 3 and Fred doesn't see it. I don't think anything has it as a prerequisite now, does it? Here's the full list. She still has a lesser +0 heart, so she's going to re-level this week.

Arcane Lore
Attack
Cleave
Defensive Fighting
Dismiss Charm
Elven Keen Senses
Enchantment Save bonus
Fascinate
Heroic Durability
Immunity to Sleep
Improved Heroic Durability
Improved Inspire Courage
Inspire Competence
Inspire Couraage
Inspire Greatness
Light Armor Profecience
Magical Training
Martial Weapon Prof (Longbow, Longsword, Rapier, Shortsword, Shortbow)
Power Attack
Religeous Lore
Shield Proficiency (General)
Simple Weapon Proficiency (lots)
Sneak
Suggestion
Sunder
Toughness
Trip
Uncanny Dodge (Swash Core 3)
Wilderness Lore

=== Sources =======
Power Attack (Character 1)
Cleave (Character 6)
Magical Training (Character 9)

=====Fred offers to retrain======
Cleave (Character 6)
Magical Training (Character 9)

There's always been trouble with Toughness, since it can be taken at any level and multiple times.  That could be the problem right there, especially on an old build that hasn't been logged in amidst so many changes.

Yeah, we've both got alt-itis and you know how badly Bards used to suck, I don't think either had been played in the year up to the Enhancement Crash, and certainly neither has been played since. Toughness used to be a pre-req for some enhancements, so we probably both had it.

Not that I think it likely, but if any Turbine employee reads this, having *all* feats show up in Fred's list and the unswappable ones show a red "why you can't swap" explanation would be a huge improvement.

I think we found the cause if not a solution, and we both have lesser hearts for workaround.

Anyway, thanks for having a look!

What is the point in using Guardbreaking Bucklers? The Wiki says it dazes monsters, are you using it for crowd control on cleaves?

PDK CHA variant would work fairly well I'd assume for the Iconic life?

14 bard/4ftr/2 rogue or Fvs.  Rogue for sneak dice, traps, evasion.  12 b/4ftr/4fvs for the Prr, hp, and ameliorating strike for heals?

Straight 20 pdk bard works too for more cc abilities etc.

Tons of bard builds that work just depends on what you wanna do.
