Quality potency should stack with anything other than quality bonuses to individual spellpowers, like the quality magnetism from the cloak.

You're misinterpreting.  E.g.:

electric spellpower = max(magnetism, potency) + implement bonus + spellcraft, etc.

Ignore implement and spellcraft for now.  If you have magnetism of 150 and potency of 100, your electric spellpower is 150.  If you in addition have a quality potency of 36, your potency is 136 and your magnetism is 150 - you still have electric spellpower of 150.

all of those heroic items are good.

ton of new heroic loot out since shadowfell. All good items with ML ranges from 11-18

unless you are new to the game, is there any reason to be excited about the heroic loot since motu?

even on a tr, does any of the heroic loot really help you level up any faster in mid heroic to early epic levels?

I love heroic gear. threw all mine out because I hate heroics and no room for all that btc shit. But if i tr'd more than I stay capped, then I would get all the shinies.

Really?  That's not how I understood it.  I thought it was:

Max(enchant mag, enchant pot) + max(insight mag, insight pot) + max(quality mag, quail pot).   Basically enchant +insight + quality.   That's how it works on other stuff.   What you are saying would mean they are deviating from "like type bonuses don't stack but bonuses from different types do) because you have a quality bonus not stacking with an enchantment bonus.

I didn't test on lama tho.

The most broken epic PL in the game is the ridiculous AC buff from martial PLs. But when you include all the inherent benefits from reincarnation, the thing is above the roof. The benefit from TR was supposed to be minimal, but now it is game breaking. start a new character and you will feel, you will get raped in heroics.

Personally I think lower heroics on new characters are harder than Legendary Elite content on a character with good gear and has all destinies farmed.

Wow.

Have you EVER gone to Law School Feyn? Have you EVER been asked by a United States Senator who is now the Vice President of the United States to write a paper just for him on a particular topic of Constitutional Law for his use as a Senator? Have you ever been asked to help a very notable Harvard PhD turned Constitutional scholar with his very-well received book on Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Revolutions? Have you ever been offered a job as a Deputy Attorney General BEFORE you even graduated Law School?

No? Then STFU you fucking amateur.

medium armor with 159 fort, 14 to saves..., 17 doublestrike, 38 sheltering(both prr+mrr).

Giving up toee set bonus, and shadow armor has ghostly.

Mhm, dunno if it's worth droping toee set if you already have it, unless you really need that extra saves. 17 DS and 38 PRR/MRR is good but you already can have 35 PRR/MRR with sightless and 12 DS with deathwrym belt. 20 MP from set is a lot and I think is better than extra 5% DS, unless new wepons are much better than toee ones (not very hard) I woudn't do it.

Potency give an x bonus to individual spellpowers. Each bonus is determined separately. Even before the update, you could see this with the alchemical bonuses from potions. If you have a 150 (equipment) magnetism item and drink a 10 (alchemical) potency pot, the 10 alchemical bonus stacks with the 150 magnetism item.

Yeah, 20 MP is a lot. If you don't already have the toee set, this armor is a strong option.

It offers max doublestrike, max saves(+7 should be correct), max sheltering, max fort, and 2 slots. Frees up belt for epic rememberance, 1 lower con and 6 less melee power from sightless. Possibly frees up or adds dodge and resistance items. Or in the case of epic reprisals for swashbucklers, and Braided Beards for int based melees.

Yep, got your point.

The key imo is how much better are new GS weps compared to toee one (no clue at all on new weps), if they are so much better that can make up, combined with the extra DS from armor, for 20 MP then yep, I would drop toee set.

I would consider wearing sightless even with new armor since MP from gear is hard to get (only toee set and that helm iirc) and there are not much better or worthy helms except from mythic emerald gaze (and maybe some other I can't remeber).

very true. outside of sightless, dragon masque and mythic gaze ; the head slot is rather weak

As far as the new gear goes, I'm not as down on it as some of you are.  I think there are some nice pieces in there.  Although, loot gen seems better.  I'm not sure what gear, besides Epic Litany and and Sightless and Visions (on a monk) will really have a lot of sticking power for named loot.  It looks like the loot gen numbers are just redonk high.

That Warrior's focus necklace looks really nice.  Might get me to pull off Shroud of the Ardent.  Especially if I can get some solid Heal amp items in loot gen now.

I like the skins on the shields and some of the armors.

This. Once again, the art department delivers. I'll grab some Mirrors, if they ever unfuck the store.

Honestly, I don't hate this gear. Especially since the ToEE sets were a pipe dream for me.

The grief to craft a set wasn't worth it, IMHO.

Where is the Heroic stuff dropping?

the efficacy potions gave bonus to universal spell power, which is different than potency.  I guess it shouldn't be hard to find out how it works, once someone pulls one :p

According to varg, it should work like you are saying, but it currently doesn't work.  Supposedly it is incorrectly typed as equipment bonus.

Gotcha.  Those insight bonuses and quality bonuses are actually decently large at end game.  They need to get that shit fixed.  It also provides some flexibility for gear.
