I am thinking about starting a light based spammer, but it's been a while since I played casters. How a Sun Elf 12 Fvs/ 4 Clr/ 4 Pal sound? Good enough for a first life? I don't want to start on Korthos.

Unfortunately this is correct.  If you wish to have the FVS or Cleric icon then mostly pure (18 levels) of either is ideal for both.  Just get to blade barrier as quick as possible and roll through content for heroic.

1/3-1/4 dps of them..survivability is similar,and they have better cc

But regarding my doubt,  I guess it doesnt really matter. 2% crit chance x 30 Light/Fire /Force Spell Power. I will throw a coin when I get to 20.
