Please love me, Daddy!  I need your attention so desperately!

Keep proving that you love me and can't live without my attention, Mookie.  I know that you can and will, because you literally cannot help yourself.

You could prove me wrong at any time, but your pathetic need for my attention will never let you win.

Unlike you, I don't feel the need to post inane things just to be noticed when I don't have anything productive to add.

That's fascinating!  Please, tell me more.

And while you are at it, you can take a moment to explain why spending 340 TP, your plan, is better than spending 0 TP, my plan.

That is, if your tiny, tiny brain can figure out the basic economics of the situation.

Meh, you're not such the "heavyweight" you like to fool yourself into beliveing.  Let me rephrase:  The context was clear to anyone but an idiot or someone who wanted a reason to attack over the phrase.  But what you fail to realize, "heavyweight," is that when you attack someone for something which is clearly taken out of context you don't make them look like an idiot, you make yourself look like an idiot.  Only a lightweight would fail to understand that.

Look how I have Mookie trained up:  He haunts all my posts and makes the same idiotic statement each time.  And yet my cut-and-paste rebuttal remains true:  He just can't get enough of my attention, because he adores me like the Daddy he never had.  I used to exercise him better, getting him to spend hours searching up my old posts and getting his panties all wet over a simple typo, but unlike his real, absentee Daddy I've managed to teach poor Mookie a few tricks and now he just posts the same crap that makes his "I only post when it contributes" post so much fairy dust and butterflies.

But he can't help himself, he is a complete and utter tool.  And so he'll keep posting garbage responses even while his "I only post when it contributes" post keeps being cited to show what a complete idiot and hypocrite he is.

Sure, but I already explained it in the very first sentence.

Yes, recycling alts is an option for people who don't have the TP from TRing or for those who play on a lower difficulty.

I'll try to dumb it down further since you didn't get it the first time but I doubt it will help.  This concept is probably hard to comprehend for someone who plays on the difficulty where running the Threnal arc or acquiring a few thousand mysterious remnants is a major ordeal.
  • Running missions to level a new build after a TR = Fun = 340+ TP without any special effort.
  • Mindlessly creating and deleting mule toons and grinding a stupid tutorial 10+ times = Not Fun = Special effort that could be spent having fun instead.

On an interesting side note, it seems I have reduced you to such a Pavlonian state that it has lowered your reading comprehension even further than the impressively low bar that it was already at in the pre-new CC days.

I never said my suggestion was better.  In fact, I said either method works.  In your drooling excitement to post your tired, copycatted insults while patting yourself on the back with one hand and jerking it with the other while telling yourself how great you are, you apparently failed to comprehend this

You are well-trained indeed.

lol, it seems that some people do actually need it spelling out.

11 hirelings are actually the other 11 people in a pug raid, that the reference was to, some worse than hirelings in fact, probably some on this forum who post, but some pug raids can be a pleasant surprise, and fun.
I'm not sure how to write slower, so the slow people can understand!

Anyway, back to OP
I agree most loot is crap, but 1 in a 100 can be OMG.
It is an alternative to the grind on CC and Slayers crafting.
Some CC and Slavers crafting can't craft these OMG items, I.E 18% DS with HE(max 17\61%), or a 17\7 stat item(max 15\7 or 17\4)
But none the less they are good items to craft, with a different kind of grind.
As for raid timers, why buy them, when there are other ways to get them Smiley do i really have to spell that out too?

First, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  Regardless of whether you are in the US or even celebrate the day.

Digimonk wrote on Nov 23rd, 2016 at 12:23pm:
  • Running missions to level a new build after a TR = Fun = 340+ TP without any special effort.
  • Mindlessly creating and deleting mule toons and grinding a stupid tutorial 10+ times = Not Fun = Special effort that could be spent having fun instead.

Second, it is clear that we play the game very differently.  Obviously you play more often than I do.  Which makes your constant harping about my slow collection of remnants, or favor, or anything at all amusing.

  • I don't enjoy heroic play, so what you call "fun" I call acquiring HPLs at the expense of raiding, which is what I enjoy the most in this game.  When I'm in heroics on a character I get to cap and TR again as fast as I possibly can, which means I'm repeating the same few high XP quests, and which means I'm not earning a lot of favor.
  • I can run 10 alts, all established as I have no free character slots and so your scenario is a poor one, through the training quest in an hours time.  In that same hour I can run maybe 2-3 quests and make maybe 30 Favor.  Not enough for even a 25 TP reward, unless I happen to roll over a 100 waypoint.  So doing this once and setting up my crafter is very worthwhile.  But hey, I don't mind if you're a Turbine whale and would rather pay TP for things you can earn in game for free, it keeps a game I like to play afloat.  Thanks!

When I'm at cap and running ERs I run out of favor targets after the third life, tops.  I'll skip some content on the first run to cap so I can pick up BB and first time XP for it on the second.  But by the third the pickings are slim.  And grinding Slavers doesn't get you any more favor the second+ run.

I won't call you a loser for playing so much just because I have a life outside the game and many other interests, because I obviously play the same game you do.  But I do find your attempts to paint me as a loser for collecting digital rewards slower than you amusing, if childish.  Your Daddy is very, very proud of your digital collection!  Now run along, I have grown up things to do.

Digimonk wrote on Nov 23rd, 2016 at 12:23pm:
I never said my suggestion was better.  In fact, I said either method works.

Yes, child, yes.  "Either method works."  Words to avoid living by.  Actually finding a girlfriend and getting laid "works," and paying [] or your little brother for butsex also "works."  You bust a nut in either case.  But one is clearly superior to the other.  You might have to grow up a little before you can understand the difference, but Daddy is patient and I'm sure you'll figure out sooner or later that lifting the lid before pissing "works" better.

Digimonk wrote on Nov 23rd, 2016 at 12:23pm:

Now, child!  What have I told you about trying to grow up?  Using this phrase after I detailed so very clearly in another thread how well I have you trained up is just a case of "No, you're the puppet."  Don't take your material from Trump, you don't know where it's been.

Now, prove my training is still in effect.  I believe in you!

Seems like with new cannith crafting, finding//being a crafter is the best way to get really good stuff?

No more silly farming chests/buying loot boost potions/hopping for the best. YOu just make a specific item that's exactly what you want. The adition of dual augment slotted items only sweetens the deal.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

The addition?  Unless things have changed recently dual slotted random loot was only on legacy, pre-New Random Loot items.  I have a small handful, but I never see anything drop with more than a single augment slot these days.  On the plus side you can get green slots, and I only saw yellow or blue on legacy loot.  I don't recall ever seeing an orange slot on old or new.

NewCC is good for what it is.  It has the potential to make some very nice items.  The kick in the nuts is the new mats collection, the lack of flexible shards, the enormous cost to craft for someone else, and the fact that making an item for someone else costs the same gods-awful amount of mats regardless of it being a ML1 or a ML 30 item, give or take some cannith essences.

As time goes on the new mats stockpiles will grow, but the rest of the issues will persist.

Here is the cost for a pair of ML30(34) gloves with ranged alacrity, deadly, and insightful tendon slice:

Unbound cost: Essence cost = 2430, Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragment cost = 19, Mark of House Cannith = 1, Bruised Spore Pod = 2, Amulet of the Six = 10, Blade of the Dark Six = 30, Mark of the Keeper = 10, Intact Fingerbone = 5, Slime Mold = 30, Stone Fetish = 10, Encoded Communique = 5

The only change at ML10 (first level for the bonus slot):  : Essence cost = 1950, Purified Eberron Dragonshard Fragment cost = 4

My guilty pleasure is boosted loot chests, I love seeing that blue beam and finding out what goody I got. I know that's pretty stupid considering most TF, LGS, or CC beat loot gen, but I still enjoy finding the unique stuff even if it is just pixels.

Indeed - it is nice to have something to hope for when you look in the chest, even if the hope is faint!  Now if only there was a toggle that would stop 80% of my pulls from being armour or docents!  Even with a blue beam it's still always a waste.

This is true. I wish I'd filled multiple mule accounts with them when I had the chance. I think they'll bring them back in time, they are really great.

While I agree fully that that this is a kick in the nuts - the new system just mirrors lootgen. There's nothing you can find on a random item that slots differently than what you can make with CC.

See? this is why you can't carry even a semi-serious conversation.   You've got such a Pavlonian reflex response at this point that it's pointless because you go straight to herpa derp mode when it gets uncomfortable.

As usual, you're missing the point.  I don't care, nor am I even interested in how much you play.   I know people who only log in once every week or two and play the game with a high level of skill and efficiency.  You though, are clearly not one of them based on your posts.

Your reading comprehension just keeps getting worse.  How did you equate spending TP earned via favor while leveling up from a TR to "But hey, I don't mind if you're a Turbine whale and would rather pay TP for things you can earn in game for free, it keeps a game I like to play afloat."  Do you even know what "whale" means in the context of DDO?  It really doesn't seem like it.  Protip - I didn't pay any real monies to Turbine for that TP earned from favor.

Only a loser has to resort to calling someone a loser based on how much time they spend on a hobby.  Keep on herpa derping though.

Fixed that for you also.  Try to be more accurate in the future, child.

I explained it quite clearly.  But I'm happy to repeat myself more carefully to a child with limited comprehension and/or brain injury.

340 TP = 1,360 Favor = Many hours of play time.  If we assume 30 Favor per hour, which means running all new quests in every play session, then that is 45.3 hours of play.
10 characters run through the tutorial = 1 hour of play time

And child, 45 is biggerer than 1.

So you can spend 45.3 hours of time, or you can spend money an be a Turbine whale.  Or, and I know this might blow your tiny little mind, you could spend 1 hour and have all the crafting percent boosts and XP boosts you need to cap your CC skill.  But you'd rather piss before lifting the toilet lid, because you're a dumb little fucker with no common sense, ain'tcha, Mookie?

Do you understand?  Ok, now run along, [] was looking for you.  Bring the lube.
