Nothing has changed with their dealings with WotC. They have always needed their permission before doing anything, because they own the IP {Intellectual Property)}. SSG can't just add Ravenloft, Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Spelljammer without permission to do so from the company that freaking owns the rights to those game settings. His comment - and the question - was about Campaign Settings, not D&D version. If you're going to bring up soundbytes, at least know what the fuck you're talking about.
