Because THAT'S super helpful
This.
It's not about getting lost in explorer areas... I am willing to bet most people left playing this game, myself included, can find our way through any wilderness area blindfolded while juggling torches and riding a unicycle.
The problem is... WTF for?
Its about expediency, not hand-holding.
I am looking to save a run out that I've done literally hundreds of times already and maybe skip some bullshit along the way. It's fitting that Wheloon is a prison, becaude we've all done time there.
Hard fucking time.
And since all my toons now have their PDK Favour to upgrade CitW weapons or buy their Red Dragonscale Whatever, I ain't never going back.
Anyone remember the old Guild Ship Farshifter? The guy that made you complete the explorer areas before he'd send you to where-ever?
That was an elegant mechanic... it wasn't an onerous chore and incentivized running wilderness zones. That coding clearly exists, and is stable unlike so many other "features", so why not just plug it in and save everyone the grief?
Oh Wait... Harper's Travelarium now available in the DDO Store for 4995 TP.
