Invitation to Dinner - Farming possible?

Decided to do some Ravenloft zerging before I got annoyed and went back to my rTRing...

Death House - about 3 minutes (not much running)
Fresh Baked Dreams - between 5 & 10 minutes, because sometimes her ghost spawning won't happen until you've hunted down most of the woofs

Invitation to Dinner - holy fuck bawlz... I missed the 'friend' hiding in the upper servants quarters, so didn't know about the keystone... so ended up doing one of those fucking 'every square inch' crawls until I found the shit I missed. Had no fucking idea why the door in the stairs with the red glow behind it wouldn't open, and kept kept re-canvasing the whole fucking castle over and over. I was in there 3 godamn hours (ODC Dyslexics UNTIE!)...

Re-engaged optional - bupkis
End Loot - bupkis

Fine.. figured now that I knew what I was supposed to do (there is a sub level on the North side that is utterly identical to the one directly above it, except it has no mid point secret door leading south.. that fucked me up HARD for a minute), I could probably shave off about 2 hours and 45 minutes.... only to find out you cant re-run the quest without doing the previous 2.

Has anyone found a way to repeat without having to do the 1st 2? Granted its not a HUGE delay as both are super short.. but still.  Thanks for any info.

btw.. Raven @ the Door is almost as fast as Death house (even with all the running, because you start off real close to South Tower Stairs), with 2 chances at end loot.... was nice

Oath of Vengeance was just annoying.. so went back to my rTRing and started my Warforged lives (wish Arti had an alchemical heal light woulds but for 'repair')

Uh..can do invitation again by talking to the dud in the tavern again.  Just want to do them in order the first time so you flag for the raid properly.

If you can roll it you can smoke it.  If you can carve it you can smoke with it.

Tried that... when I get to the Castle it says I'm not on that quest.

Try talking to the dude who actually gives the quest, not the lady who has the quest chain.

Invitation is one of those quests you farm the instance.  Depending on the "fortune" you're given it's either a shitty long grind with multiple boss fights or a quick 15 min run.

Yeah... It didn't even occur to me till WELL after, that depending on what the cards told you, you could get it done lots faster.... *sigh*

Invitation to Dinner is not as hard as it seems.  I can't understand why so many people bitch about it.  Same with the second quest in castle and the Amber temple.  It's a big map but the fortune teller tells you where you need to go.  Once you know the spawn points it's easy.  The trick to it is you need to run it a few times to learn the map.  It's not one you're gonna zerg the first, second, or even third time in there.  Put in the work, memorize the shit, and it's easy.  If you get the mists card step out and reset.

yes depending on the cards it can be really fast or longer...
The longtest I spent there was about an hour, the first time.

but I cheat I have a 3D Map of the quest with all the details for each room. ( also known as 5th Ed Curse of Stradh PnP book )
So I just need to know where to go to use the shortest path to get there.

Oath of Vengeance has a "just the levers" path that is pretty quick.  Sub 10 Min.

Into the Mists is , obvs, lightning fast.

Amber Temple is a 2 min run if you get the right raven location.

Invitation is fast if you get the person in wine cellar.  That's the one I find quickest.  is 5-7 min.

You can find the optimal path for most of them.  A few are just really long if you want to do all the stuff.

I know there a lot of people who just cannot learn quests/maps (they all seem to be in my guild unfortunately Smiley... fuck some of them get lost in waterworks still).

And this one takes a while to learn, and if you get the lemmings that join a group every time and never lead/just follow, they will never learn it.

I definitely know why people bitch about it.

but I'm not one of them.

Oath of vengeance is really fast, especially if you crafted a good search item to find that secret door right away once you open the gate up to 3rd floor.

Now Mad Tea Party can suck my balls.

It seems killing the wolf packs isn't an optional internally. She spawns 100% after completing it

So many fucking idiots, so much shit for brains here.

OP is awesome with his brainless zerg attemp without paying attention to what he is supposed to do and no clue about where to go in Invitation.

That is odd, as I had her spawn once the second I clicked her meat pile, and I hadn't killed but a couple of wisps yet. Maybe it just glitched and she spawned early.... because in THAT instance she spawned right on top of her meat, in the others I had to kind of look for her. Huh....

It's been my experience that women usually enjoy spawning right on the meat.

Fortunately, there's fuck all that drops in there that's worth farming.

For me, the most tedious farms are:

Raven's Bane- Not because it's difficult, it's just a LOT of running and you can get caught up in a lot of trash mobs if you don't choose the optimal path. Also, some scarecrows are retards who get high-centred on ruined walls and you have to go get them.

Wrath of the Earth
- Running in circles (literally), really sloggy end fight with all the fucking Gust of Wind horseshit, and high possibility of DA if you didn't clear enough trash.
