Honestly there's too much non-creature spell shenanigans in standard ATM. War of the Spark exacerbated the issue as well. Even the gods aren't sticky enough IMO. I think war of the spark is a flavor win but a Mechanics fail. The only really fun thing to come out of the meta are the sarkan decks in my opinion. Kiora was also a big win---its a blue or green dragon's hoard. Things like the arkbow, krenko, and feather all feel healthy but the removal is too dense for them to move to tier one.
It's a crazy meta. And even War draft is different than most sets in how it plays out.
The spells and planeswalkers have sort of pushed aggro out. Red is barely played outside of BO1. Mid range decks have taken the top spots. The best planeswalker right now is looking like Nissa. She is the backbreaking card in every one of the bant manipulation decks, or the dreadhorde decks. 5 mana and she pluses into a 3/3 vigilance creature to defend until you can use her passive for double mana.
There are going to be more planeswalkers in M20. Maybe a Jace, Lilliana and Gideon Trifecta like Chandra is getting. Also, that 6 mana Chandra is good. Uncounterable and the emblem cannot be interacted with either. If she stacks more than 1 on you, you're likely dead that game. Powerful trend if the other walkers are getting anything similar.
I doubt aggro decks stay in the top spots going forward. They are still the best decks to ladder with on Arena and are good for short round events, but if you want to make the top spots of multiple round events like a GP or a Pro Tour then one of the Nissa decks is what you should be piloting.
