What are the pros/cons between wraps, shuri, or staff these days?

My fav life I think was a stunner wis monk that could quivering palm anything in life. Is that still
Viable? I recall a nerf to qpalm and seeing monk DEFENSE started lacking as the game changed. This is like 2 years ago. So, I’m way behind. Can someone catch me up?

I have played a life as shuri and I was meh. Might have been me (probably). I see the survivability benefit for ranged, tho. I like being able to solo and not die.

Only semi-relatedly: are there any clonkshur builds that work?

Staff is dead in the water. They were viable (but not great) for a while when Henshin was granting massive melee power, but that got nerfed hard since people were investing in Henshin MP just to minmax their wrap (or other) DPS. (Staff for heroics is a different story.)

Wraps is middle of the pack for endgame melee now and crappy for heroics. You might see a bunch of talk ~1 year ago of wrap monk dominating endgame, but that is not the case anymore. They got nerfed.

Shuri is the best endgame build going right now IMO. If there were a fantasy where I got to pick what the other 5-11 people were playing, I would take all 20 monk thrower, all the time, across all content.

Re clonk: see my other PM for the 14/6 archer. Note that this build means you never ever solo.

Yeah, was kind of wondering at that.  Meta changed to melee shortly after RL was released due to all the powercreep from gear and better weapons, especially in reaper.  Even in lesser content, melee are the meta now. 

It's like I was saying in the caster thread, any melee dps build that is high skull reaper capable is essentially a godmode killing machine in non-reaper.

wis monk builds aren't terrible in r10, 150 dc special attacks 120 qp mass frog. wont be highest single target dps but viable

I'm wondering about wisdom thrower monks.

I had a Clonk thrower build back in the day that was 17/3 using the shuri for debuff, helpless, pin, and on hit buff effects in Shiradi but nuked with spells and Shiradi procs.

Are Shiradi procs getting unnerfed in Arcane Pass or staying terrible?

No idea, ive avoided throwers and shiradi for a long time.
