I love me some DC. I realize that the theorycraft numbers favour LD, but in my (Anecdotal) experience, DC offers more. One thing that's glossed over a LOT is that DC grants full BAB, which is a boon to all multi class builds.

Every Bard/x/x build I've done rolled in DC and romped content. And since the conventional wisdom for melee dps is a sliding scale of:

Threat Range > Crit Multiplier > Base Damage > Full BAB

Then DC comes out slightly ahead for those builds, IMHO.

DC gives 2 of those: Full BAB and Threat range to all weapons (not just a group like Pulverizer or Headsman's Chop) which do not require prerequisite feats or marry you to micro-managing kills/timers like Blitz. And this is from a guy who loved the mayhem of a capped LD Blitzing Paladin and Barbarian.

DC also adds some fun goodies like the Strike Down, healing Amp, Aura of Purification, Purge the Wicked, and Crusade.

Actually, I was responding to Ash saying that you needed LD for crit range on a handaxe.
