You know cleric DCs are based off of Wisdom, right?

I assumed he was trying to go STR through CHA? I made this mistake once in theory-crafting.

Every TWO points of CHA will get you ONE STR. So you're getting 1/2 the return on damage by focusing on CHA. You don't get CHA to STR directly with Divine Might. You get CHA modifier to STR.

That doesn't even get to to-hit which just wouldn't work in anything resembling challenging content. I know PDK can get CHA to hit, right? Is there other ways? Bard? Certain weps like Elyd Edge?

In other words: Back to the drawing board.

In my defense, I know nothing of Clerics.  Having said that... Im looking to build a Bladeforged Cleric that is Turn Undead & Heal party Member focused. Have no interest in building an actual combat Cleric.  I read the turn descriptions and it seems to indicate that they are based on CHA... but that could be I misunderstood what it said.

Anybody able to help me make a Monster Tank that focuses on these 2 aspects?  Thanks

Why Bladeforged? Knocking out some racial past lives?

Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

True, healing is all about spellpower and turning is mostly gear (but yes, modified by Cha)

So if that's all you want to do then dumping Wis is okay.

...But you could be doing so much more.

But if you do dump wis, nix the feats like like Heighten Spell, Embolden Spell. And don't bother preparing any spell that allows a save.

    Talk to me Goose...

I am not opposed to combat... I just don't know anything about Clerics OR BFs.. and figured I would post the 1st thing I came up with. More then open to what would most certainly be a better build and gear loadout suggestion.

I just want to be able to walk into RL and just obliterate anything undead and heal my fellow party members easy peasy... anything else is gravy.. so I'll take any help I can get

Just get wis to hit and damage in Falconer and then you can do it all as single stat character.

Serious note though, 5FS has it right. Yeah you can be a healbot, but why just be a healbot when you can do so much more with so little investment?

People try to cast offensive, heal and do melee. These builds are tough and sometimes fall into the classic jack of all trades master of none category; I say, pick any 2 of these, you'll do fine. just 1 is lackluster.

Agreed.  And melee doesn't mix well with healing in higher difficulties despite the burst/aura.  I play a light spammer healer and find that this works well.  It's not as dull as just throwing heals, and you can contribute a decent amount of dps.  Healing doesn't require much investment to be good in a good group, and that leaves you a lot of ap for the light side.

    I will not chone.

I did what I did intentionally and while my primary purpose was not to annoy the other Vaulties, I acknowledge that it was a side effect.

Smart people don't elicit "side effects."  They understand in advance the consequences of their actions.

My post was a call for help on a build I admitted at the beginning I know nothing about.. and I get a response from someone who spams the board with delusions of adequacy...

    so yeah... fucking LAWL

No, the really hilarious part is he responds with an even worse build that also isn't what you asked for.

Looks like we can add "basic reading comprehension" to the list of things unknownbuilder fails at.

Anywho, in an effort to be helpful, have you considered a 3 paladin/17 cleric split? I was looking at doing this for a cleric PL. This still gets you into 9th lvl cleric spells, but keeps enough paladin hacks to make you a tanky little bastard.

If healing is your game, comunion of scribing provides a powerful off-heal spell for your warforged buddies. You should also have space for Inflict Serious Wounds, for your palemaster friends. Overall, with everyone carrying healing amp, you don't need to put a ton of effort in to be a good healer. Being a healer/nigh unkillable melee would be much more valuable.
