I think Orien is doing fine. Couple tanks, couple healers. Quite some dps, but only a few really good ofc.

Pugging is also pretty decent if you ask me...

Compared to other servers, I think Orien does good

As far as I’m aware Helter Skelter is the only guild on Ghallanda that has a prescribed raid time for both American and European time zones.

We’ve also got a separate raid night now where we mess around and try one high skull completion, just for fun.  For most of us it seems to strike a nice balance; we don’t have to worry about actually completing the raid and if we do fail there is always next week where we can take another stab.  This last run we completed a high skull Baba, was a lot of fun.

I generally run with the same core of 6ish people, aka the better players on the server. The problem with Thelanis is never, and I mean NEVER, being able to fill a raid with quality players. At best we end up filling the last 4 slots with bads.

As an example we ran a R4 Strahd a few weeks back. Already a bad group with a couple warlocks and 3 or so pug melees. But we had the trinity covered with the goods so went ahead. Made it up the stairs fine, got through the mist room, through the torch room, and all was pretty smooth. Throne room went all to shit. Tank died within 10 seconds because the doper healer that was supposed to be watching him was doped out. Recovered. Bride kiter took a bad break and went down, he had a trinket. Other shithead with the trinket got gripped, yay. Not even 20 seconds later the quality healer got gripped. Tank ran in circles, recovered. Kiter passed trinket off to trash warlock, immediately got gripped, dies again because trash players. One of the idiot warlocks with a trinket was so panicked he died in the mists like it was his first time in there. After being down to 2 people (myself and the tank) twice we finally pulled shit together and started getting it done. And then all the sudden the 3 brides walk away from the kiter - strahd walks away from the tank. Where were they going you might ask? Over to the shitbag pug monk that decided to pop a Potion of Wonder and got Hate Magnet. No joke. Of course we just let the idiot die and went on to complete.

Granted the experience was fun and hilarious to talk about this is the kind of crap Thelanis offers.

But going back to what you said earlier, as far as raids go, people that cannot communicate well in group are worthless.  And along with that, are the players that can't think on thier feet when it hits the fan.  Those players that hope they only have to select boss and hit auto attack.  Top notch gear and all the past lives will not save those players.
