	Warlock. Max Cha and Con, rest into Int. Acid pact and wear Rock Boots all the way Hold a Radiance of Radiance lore stick in off hand. primary hand is for Heal Scrolls or whatever from lvl 6 switch to light from lvl 10 use Ravenloft belt for enhancement bonus to acid from lvl 12 switch to Auralock Spells: Jump, Shield, Blur, Resist, Tentacles, Displacement, (Mass) Prot Elements(change this as necessary as you level). Flesh To Stone. done.

Up till lvl 8 you can wear Cannith Crafted crap that covers that maxed for slot(so far as I know nothing loot-gen or named has better stats that early). If you're feeling grindy you could go get the Fewild loot for lvl 5 and wear the appropriate set but frankly I'm not sure it's worth it. Are you planning to go sorc or give higgildypiggildy suggestion a go and take lock?

	For a fire sorc if you struggle at low levels - go for rapid shot feat and light crossbow inquisitive. Just 6 AP in EK tree for elemental damage till u get that fireball

	Also my last month favourite 1-20 speedrun build: Pure alchemist: 1-8 inquisitive (all the remaining AP) light xbow + Vile chemist (6AP just for poison dice), boosting poison (negative) spellpower items. Doubleslotted xbow with at-level augments for levels: 1,4 (and optionally 9) arborea, crafted good bludgeoning. Rapid shot (the only pro-xbow feat u take so u can use free respec on it). Then at lvl 9 (or at 12 if you like the xbow moar or plan to kill fire immune mobs til lvl 12) respec to: 9-20 fire (primary) and acid bombardier (so the RL belt boosts both) using challenges cloak and boots. The only metamagic is quicken, then mana feats (mental, imp mental, sorc PL). After lvl 12 you can safely drop acid and go pure fire (may still want an extra spell to the cycle). Comparing to fire sorc it's much better performing for lvl 1-5 (unless it's also xbow inq), then a bit slower at 6-9 (sorc gets fireball), then again it's better at 10-13, then stands with line for 14-17 (althou fire immunity is not a problem so it's better after all). After fire sorc gets meteor at 18 it's over till lvl 24 (+10 MCL on bombs).

	I did exactly as Oracler suggested. Level 1, took a Crossbow, Inquisitive and Harpers trees. Rapid Shot. It massively outpowers low level sorc, alchemist, warlock. Then swap the feat using the free respec from Lockania's quest. At something like 6-9 depending on when you get some good spells. it's great.

	Rapid Shot requires Point Blank as a pre-requisite.. did you mean Rapid Reload? Instead of Harper I'm going to give Feydark Illusionist Tree a go for CHA to Hit/Dam.. less AP to worry about because I don't have any extra yet. 	I would suggest you try a melee 2hf wizard. It seems like it will be faster clearing a room (at least in heroics)

	Actually sounds interesting... ... but I really have no experience with casters. let alone a melee caster. I'm not willing or interested in spending time trying top figure out the actual stats, feats, spells, & gear for yet another build when I just want to do it quick and easy. I'll look around and see if anything is out there with SPECIFIC details (none of these '20 to INT, Illusion Focus.. profit'...) unhelpful posts If I'm going to even CONSIDER a new style or setup, I want it worked out ahead of time rather then getting invested from the start and then going 'wait.. what about this... wut?' In heroics melee spellcasters don't really "cast" per-se. Basically you are using palemaster for self-healing, so the only spell is lesser death aura + death aura. The rest is mainly buffs, displacement, etc. Optionally you can do some CC, but mostly you are just meleeing while your health goes up. I can put together a build for you if you're interested. Don't wanna do all that typing though if not.

	Still fine-tuning but here's the start. Disclaimer: I have not actually leveled one of these in a while, this was based off experiments while ETRing last night. I can hopefully get a bit better in a few days when I have some time to dedicate: Assuming +7 tomes or better: 16 STR 18 INT Rest into CON Lvl 1 TWF / Quicken Lvl 3 Weapon Focus: Slashing Lvl 5 (Class) Extend Spell Lvl 6 Power Attack Lvl 9 Power Critical Lvl 10(class) Maximize Lvl 12 Imp THF Lvl 15 Cleave /(class) Maximize Lvl 18 Great Cleave Lvl 20 Mental Toughness or whatever Spells: I'm not going to go through every single spell you might want at every level, but here will be your most useful: lvl2 - Lesser Death Aura/Fog Bank(for miss chance) lvl3 - DISPLACEMENT!!! lvl4 - Death Aura/Negative Energy Burst(Prioritize these), then Stoneskin, Wall of Fire, and Ice Storm (DDoor is also nice) When you hit 4th lvl spells at lvl 7 is when the build really starts to work. With Extend and Quicken going, Death Aura and Lesser Death Aura active, the main spell you're going to cast is Negative Energy Burst for a quick self-heal. You mostly want buffs like stone skin, and area-effect spells like Wall of Fire, Acid Rain, Ice Storm, etc. Fog Bank and the various other "% miss chance" spells are fantastic for survivability. Enhancements: I can work up a more detailed breakdown time permitting, but 3 trees are key: Harpers - Int-to-hit/Int-to-dmg, and that's it Palemaster - some undead shroud to let heal from negative energy + more Eldritch Knight - elemental damage + SLAs(Imp Mage Armor & Imp Shield) Will continue to fine-tune as more time becomes available. The big problem is BAB, which badly gates the THF feats. If anyone has any suggestions I'm happy to workshop this.
