I pugged acute delerium on normal and it was stupidly easy. Things were dropping like they were never even up. I cant even remember a boss fight. Was there a boss fight?
We eventually decided to do it elite and we were smacked around like little babies by frost beholders and tons of reavers. We didnt  even make it past to the airship. Did my group suck or is that quest actuakly difficult on elite.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

I know that the devs have lately been claiming that they support making elite difficulties actually difficult.  It sounds like that's what they've done.  If so, cool!  I pugged The Pit on hard last night, lvls 6-9, and the end fight was a cakewalk despite most of the group being fairly new.  I'm looking forward to elite Smiley

Edit:  Come to think of it, 2/3 of the new folks died in that end fight.  Maybe it wasn't such a cakewalk after all, hehe.

Acute Delerium on Elite is rough tough - it's the amount of spawns, certainly the decent group I was in was overwhelmed.

So cool - making things tough on elite, I approve Cheesy

We tried a guild run last night. A bard is nice. Fascinate is a good strategy. You can fascinate, then get close and wail them all. Also, charming the Beholders worked til too many showed up. Still wiped, but it was fun.

You don't know about the Pit?  It's one of my favorite quests!

Most dislike it though.  That's putting it lightly.

Yeah. The way I read it it's achievable with thought and strategy, you can't just breeze in there with decently geared toons and expect to ownzor. I actually felt it harder than elite Amrath in the sense of the level of respawns. I could see Fascinate being a good strategy but it's tough - 2 or 3 to shepherd the furniture, same to clear. Thought and tactics will out,  but a good challenge.

I think greater cold res items may go up in value a tad Wink

This is why I like wf monks.  These difficulties they speak of are unnoticed by me.

I solo'd it elite on Einin then Sgail and when logged on Emili to do the same I saw a group up for it so joined...

I mentioned was night and day between normal and elite when the group leader was mouthing on 'bouts how easy the quest is, I thought ok maybe he knows something I do not.

Was a bloody nightmare and worse part was people did not listen or organize. The spawns will get out of hand on elite if you let them.

Then they get all bloody distraught after they caused  a near wipe a few times, we had one bloody bookshelf left and some get fed up and drop – including the Star... so there I am with two other people and the star left on one of them, Had them invited Xirek, we finished it off and took the rest of the chain on elite from there.

The beholders chumps, only two have enervation and the armoured ones a pitance... is all the bloody evil eyes grouping up and force damages of 50+ from the greater eyeballs - that's just one, if you let a dozen round beware.

Tips...

that demented mimic's tongue is dangerous in the end fight, ticks away damages for 80+ after's resists and after he dead.

Start with the bookshelves and save the close beds for last in a weaker group...

You can get up top of the wall and a caster or ranged character is safe to keep some of the halls clear.

... are six chests.

Oh, also it is the hardeast of the new quests on elite ... the rest of them are a lot easier.
