	That's a lot of damage for a level 4 elite for a trap with no trap box. If only there was some way to time the acid sprays and move through while they're off. Hmmmmm.

	You can time it. Sure, if you are new to the game, you don�t know the quest and you go on Elite, you die. It should be that way. It was just stupid zerging the hallway down. I could complain that I cannot solo Elite The Pit (or normal, actually) because I SUCK at Mario skills. I see it as my problem.

It's possible to time 99% of the traps in game... There's only a few traps ( that can usually be avoided ) that cannot be timed because they are constant on once triggered.

	I don't have an issue with the harder traps per se. I do agree with the people saying that it's out of balance for the traps to be so difficult and require an optimized toon while the rest of the dungeon doesn't. The entire dungeon should require the same level of skills from everyone.

	There's enough whining in the other thread that I don't want to actually say it over there, but I do think that traps got pumped up too much on Elite. 180 Force damage from the force traps in The Pit seems excessive.

Time the jet, turn the valve, repeat. People have just forgotten that traps used to hurt and you had to actually try to avoid them.

Yeah I'm less concerned about the acid hallway in this respect. But there are rooms like the fire room in STK that are a lot harder to time, and the trap box is in the middle. I haven't run through anything since the update so I can't say from my own experience if it's so much harder, but if it is the scale should be consistent throughout all challenges in the dungeon and not just traps. If that means everything is harder, okay then. I'm also curious about the reports that monster casters are so much stronger. I find this interesting given that the new spellpower system seems to have nerfed player's caster power somewhat.

I've cleared it on every character I have in that way, including an arty, a wizard, a fvs, a fighter, a monk and a bard, usually without extra jump (the wizard had the spell). 	I just put more points into listen. I usually couldn't spot the traps anyway, but at least I could hear them going off behind me. For the larger, more persistent traps I find getting drunk and jumping up and down in front of the trap boxes to be the best way to handle them.

	Elite Forgotten Caverns did seem a bit excessive. I'm supposed to be farming Litany in the next few days on my completionist. I suspect the trapfall of doom will hurt. A lot.

Actually, if you are new to the game you go to the hallway, see JETS OF FLESH EATING ACID SPEWING ACROSS THE HALLWAY, and carefully plan a time to move through the hallway without getting hit. If you are a spoiled, jaded player who doesn't want to think, you just run through and expect to live.
