I was my mom's first DM... odd story Early 80s my mom constantly destroyed my books when I was off to scout camps or visiting grandparents, had to replace my crap three different times. I have a little brother who is 17 years younger than me, and when he hit middle school he decided he wanted to play D&D too, and my mom invited me to gamemaster for the two of them... Quite some irony there.
