The card cruncher is indeed going away. With new festivals come new cards. Removing the card cruncher isn't really to stop duplication cheats. We are working on server side code that will protect the server from activities that can cause items to duplicate themselves. We hope that this will close all the holes players are using to cheat, but we will need to keep looking for holes and fixing the server as we find them.

I understand that this might cause some extra cheating as players anticipate changes. We will be looking for these activities ahead of the update and taking disciplinary action on players using these techniques.

That kind of reminds me of "Cobra Vision".  Some VHS tapes you'd rent back in the 80's had a warning on them, "protected by Cobra Vision".  Supposedly, if you tried to copy the tape, it would damage your TV and VCR.  I always made it a point to record the warning when I dubbed tapes.

It's silly how people on the forums are crying about the tornadoes. Reminiscent of the sniveling they did about people using primal scream in heroic groups, really. It's too bad that turdbine listens to them, since the legit players are the minority of their paying customer base.

The game becomes less interesting with each fun feature that they break. Undecided

I might be in the minority here, but I think they should fix duping, and I'm happy that they claim to be trying.

That being said, I will be surprised if duping is completely impossible after U24.

I fail to see how they'll fix all the special features without completely borking their game. Especially with all the inherent lag they have.

Good luck Turbine. I look forward to testing your "fixes".

No, shit, sure they should fix duping. I'm not advocating or bitching against that.

The problem is that they should probably fix the goddamn ladders FIRST????

lol

As you might have noticed i'm a bit peculiar about proper coding, and therefore Turdbine inherently pisses me off with their 3rd grader coding attitude.
What pisses me off most is the fact that they pay their programmers WAY more then they are worth obviously.

If they gave me my standard rate of 150 an hours within a fucking week you'd have a completely fucking bug free game. And my rate is NOT high...

Also while TESO was total shit (you can find my post review if you search)
AT THE VERY LEAST, the programmers there have BALLS.
the modularity and custumizabilty that Zenimax/Bethesda implemented is pure genius... if only the Turdbine shit heads would do something near similar...

Over and over, the message from Turbine is that whatever fun the players manage to have is completely secondary to whether we follow their rules.

This.
I understand that some rule conformity is necessary so as to avoid anarchy and the collapse of the game, But it seems that it is far more important that we obey and conform than enjoy.  Ironic for a game renowned for its custom usability and flexibility which supposedly rewards creativity.

It's the mentality of an immature autocracy.

They might argue, and I would agree, that the rules are there to make the game fun.

They just seem to think they can jettison the rules that allow creativity, and fun will still somehow happen.

+1

Its always been Turdbins reaction. This is going WAY to back to 1998 in Asheron's Call 1 Beta where the Envoys and Advocates (Player-Admins/Devs...shit idea, they just got a cool fuckin shield) would Portal Storm you ass for kiting a TM into Holtburg (back when Mobs WOULDNT de-aggro) and kill the 200+ lv 1-5s there.

They did the same in Asheron's Call 2 when on Coldeve I'd nuke the fuck out of fanbois crafting, and they'd say I was "playing unfair"...in a PVP server?

The coding is crap, hence why all this shit happens but shouldn't they be happy? People put a buttload of Shadow Scales and ThunderIngots on ASAH for dirt cheap, people who DONT want to spend 4 months doing TF S/R/E or DW/FP raids buy some AS to get that shit dirt cheap.

Turbine wanted so hard to turn this F2P into Pay-to-Win and when endeavoring players find loopholes like this, everyone wins.

Just my $.02. That and a bag of used hockey pucks will get your fleshy-fun-bridge licked twice in Singapore.

I think a good example here are the unconventional means of completing Let Sleeping Dust Lie and Maze of Madness. Does it seem realistic to be able to leap up to pillars/walls to do stuff? - Yes. Do the devs want this to happen? Apparently not.

And the conclusion that can be drawn from here is, sadly, the devs want us to play the game ONLY the way they want us to play it.

Dust still is fast quest, just target the book like you did before, but now you have to go to that path, it just adds max 5 min to the quest.

Since they are fixing stuff, how about fix the fucking Abbot's energy burst and put a save on it?

how about fix the fucking eletric sphere instead of filling the quests with arts?

How about fix the fucking ladders you bunch of fucktards?

Ty and GFY.

Dear players,

The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

Love,

People who don't know how to fix their own mistakes cleanly

Why would they fix something that adversely affects player enjoyment?  That's conventional thinking there.  Uh-uh, not Turdbine.
Nope - you gotta take out the fun bits before you fix the unfun bits.

Is there any other way?
Oh wait, there's Cordo's way, but I keep running out of CMW pots in EE quests.   I tried it but seem to spend a lot of time chugging pots.... takes a few to get 1200hp back....
