Pure pally, full THF, full SM, Vanguard capstone. I played it, it sucked. Granted, SM was bugged out at the time and not granting double strike, but I can't see that making enough difference. I'm used to playing top tier DPS. Maybe it looks good if you're used to average DPS, but my character screen currently has SWF wolf, TWF Barb, THF Pally, Combat Brute Rogue...and this sword and board crap didn't come anywhere near the DPS numbers of any of those builds.
I admit that it looks good on paper. That's why I tried it out after all. Maybe it's because shield bash is capped to 1 per second. Maybe it's because there is no TF shield. Maybe it's because it doesn't get 100 light damage on every hit and every glance. Maybe it's because it doesn't qualify for Balanced Attacks. Maybe it's because it doesn't get +160% damage vs helpless. Maybe it's because it doesn't do an entire screen's width of bane damage swinging a freaking Club of the Holy Flame.
No, it's all of those things.
Then you must be doing it wrong, because that is pretty obvious max dps paladin build when spending 41 of your points into vanguard, 38 into kotc and 1 ap into pdk/human.

I had a freezing bard about a month ago before I TRed it. With a 78 freezing ice DC I could freeze anything that wasn't rednamed. Death knights in EE Vol, orcs and giants in EE Horns, etc. Did it work absolutely, positively, 100% of the time? No, but saving on a 2 isn't that different from saving on a 1.

idk. I had for a time did exclusively druid monks. before and after the qp boost then the nerf. stun dcs and qp were high 80s to low 90s and storm horns shit still saved when we would full group.

I've found that my pally (15p/5rgr) is now my "its been a hard day and I just want an easy afternoon" toon - much like a 18/2 or pure WF FvS back in the day.
Does S&B really add significantly more defense & DPS? I mean, compared to equivalently equiped twf/thf?

In the OP build you take 2nd core of defender tree. Is the 10 PRR/MRR worth not ever being raged? (not rhetorical question)
Also, why wep focus over cleaves?
A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

Got it. This must be new? wiki doesn't have that under the feat info.

Just hit live less than a month ago. You can see it in the U25 release notes.
Also note that you can drop stance to get buffed with the only rage you really need to worry about bothering with. (Primal Scream)

Cleaves are available in the KotC tree. You still probably want to take cleave as a feat long enough to take Momentum Swing in the Dreadnought ED. After it's set you can swap out the cleave feat as long as you don't reset points in LD.

Paladin query from me: without being too specific, is anyone else seeing Good Things from Div Sac? Just I noticed some consistent things today during a Pally test build and wondered if there was a legit reason / dumb luck or if I was seeing some not-widely-known extra.
