Thanks, interesting thread. I've not bothered to optimise an existing 15Monk/3Rogue/3Ranger at all, and her gear is shit, and I'm surprised how nicely the new 10k works. Good stuff.

its impressive you were able to take 21 Character levels~!

Have you looked at the mentioned 8Rogue/6Ranger/6Monk yet?

Edit: I ask becasue before all of this balance pass stuff I hTR'd my Shuricannon into a Dark Stars halfling and the +5 heart could fit me into that one with the quickness...

No we didnt have time on lamm. I still believe it will be very strong. You lose dual boost since you need halfing but you get some juicy sneak attack.

You only need 7 rogue levels, so throw the extra level at ranger or monk, i havent really done the math on whoch would serve you better. Prolly monk

The caveat is that without 12 ranger you only get the threat range increase shirikens, and not the bow, but its not a big difference, your bow dps os wrapped up on sniper + adrenaline anyway. The extra sa dice are reall nice

All tests were conducted against Red Named Boss Kobolds
All characters were Halfling for ease of Lesser TR
For 20 Monk Hallfing Enhancements were only the Bottom Row, 41 in NS, Rest in Harper
For others 16 in Halfling for Crit Threat, always 8 in Harper, and rest in AA or DWS, see enhancements column
All Characters wore exact same gear. Only had an Unwavering Ardency on Lam for a bow, so that's what was used
All builds without Tensers had 62-64 Dex.
Did not have Ship buffs on 20 Monk or 14Monk/6Ranger (no guild ship, 9/7/4 ported to Lamm with them)
Did not use any buffs outside of Action Boost, Tensers Scroll, Ram's Might, or ED/Enhancement based boosts (no other scrolls or pots, bard, or clickies)

Conclusions:
-For Red Named DPS, always FOTW, regardless of build. Probably means just always be Fury of the Wild (I was shocked it was true for all builds tested so far). BUT this comes with a huge caveat: in the Dojo adrenaline regens, making FOTW somewhat overperform on these tests.

-Rogue/Other Sneak Attack damage is really juicy and more than makes up for not have 10k (I was only wearing regular Deception, no Imp Deception, the Kobold was definitely not turned around the whole time).

-New 10k is good and provides burst, but cannot make up for the gimpiness of Pure 20 Monk (yes I was very surprised how weak this turned out to be, and no I promise I didn't try to gimp it. I followed Shuricannon 2.0 from Firewall as much as possible except I was halfling not Drow. Even went T5 Harper with 41 points in NS like his build thread says)

-New 10k is so good it makes a low SA damage build like 14Monk/6Ranger competitive with a non-10k 9 Ranger, 7 Rogue 4 Monk higher SA damage build

-Best build will probably be a 8Rogue/6Ranger/6Monk if nothing changes with 10k, Manyshot, and balance pass

-FOTW is wildly (get it?) variable. If you mistime your Adrenaline + Sniper or Slayer, it makes a really big difference. If you do that a few times adrenaline is buggy and sometimes looks like it's using a charge and activating and then it doesnt, it makes a really really big difference. So if you suck at active combat, YMMV in FOTW a lot.

I didn't need to read this thread to know that you are biased, but completely nullifying ~100/crit Sting of the Ninja damage by using a 1st degree burns weapon instead of Touch of Flames is pretty derpy.

They fixed shuriken crit threat range.

Sting of the ninja is complete garbage with a 17-20 crit range (2 from ninja soy capstone and 1 from imp crit).

Get with the times bro

It is less. You can still get 12-20 on Snowstar. It went from 15-20 on thunderforged to 17-20. That's still ~20 damage per star. Hardly garbage, and there's no reason not to take it if you put 41 points into NS, and there's no reason not to use it once you have it by overwriting it with TF...unless you happen to be devious little halfling with an agenda.

Which you obviously are considering the non-use of Sting and the poor stance and destiny choices.

...which is pretty much what I expected since it's you,...but then don't sit there and pretend you're giving every build a fair test. I'm biased too. For the foreseeable future I'm going to keep one of my many characters in the best available Monk 20 build no matter what for...the fringe benefits...but I'm not the one trying to manipulate here.

Moreover of course i took it.

Where did you get impression? Instead of being a presumptuous cocksucker, just ask.

How else could i spend 41 points in Ninja Soy? I said clearly: i followed the both shuricannon and the elf  AA tilo posted.

I dont know what to tell you but red named dps is embarrinsgly bad. Mayne it wasnt true before thhe nerf, but it is now.

Dont attack me with your sour grapes. I tested objectively, and claiming otherwise is fucking garbage on your part, i thought you were better than that. Youre acting like Grand who admits to sex with baby goats
