	Human would be better for HV damage boost. Against fire-vulnerable targets scimitar/rapier should beat Khopesh with TF weapons since the front number damage will be close and the on-crit affects don't scale with crit multipliers.

	I am intrigued by the possibilities here... I have used the Elven Racial trees both before and after the Enhancement Crash, and it seemed to work pretty well, even though it's less than optimal without very careful planning. If this is statement is true, I can brush the cobwebs off the GS and TF scimitars and rapiers that I stockpiled and try an actual DEX to damage melee. Hell, I might even manage a respectable Reflex save for once. Previous experiences with DEX builds didn't go so well, but I'm willing to try anything at this point to break up the doldrums and parade of cookie cutter builds I'm seeing in every group these days. I guess the real question is whether or not DEX can be run up like it is on Thrower builds, because that would likely be some outstanding DPS. Plus scimitars just look cool�� Rapiers, not so much...�

	I think what asheras mant with this post was to see if there was anyone using dex based rangers doing good. I have not seeing any at all. The few mlee rangers I see out there are all str based in khopesh, but scimitar is intresting. In theory, you can have about the same as str (loost some from LD but gain from capstone), you have one less stat to gear and get useful reflexes. But will use a 14/x3 weapon instead of 16/x4, and the result is that after 20 attacks you will do one time less base damage, but benefit more from procs that trigger on crit. I think it is worth now that evasion is a thing, if I was going to build a ranger I'd definitly go dex with scimitars. Unfortunally I don't think it's worth to play a ranger unless you like because it lags behind barb and paladin so much in AoE damage and you don't need more single target damage than what you have on THF barb. So, just my oppinion, TWF is complete flavor.

I TR'ed an alt into 15 Ranger 3 Paladin 2 Cleric (Morninglord) dex based.� It worked fine.� Reflex high enough didn't bother with Improved evasion in Tempest tree. Something along the lines of 36pts tempest, 21 DWS, 6 sacred defender, 10 war priest (I wanted the extra PRR) with 7 pts to spread around. I don't think it was quite as high DPS as my strength Khopesh ranger, but it was close.
