Especially when the update comes out and you can use double ruin, the warlock wizzy can put out close to 100k dmg from 2 ruins (if timed right). Then you start spamming some hellballs, and shiradi missles. Its going to be pretty ridiculous in terms of burst dps, but sustained dps would be better with sorc. However, sustained dps has never been needed in this game since destinies came out.

And I agree with you, but this was happening before card events. Even when I was new, I took a cleric life and bought stacks of store pots to heal raids because that was the easiest thing to do to get into groups and get items.
