C'mon now.  Anyone with AWtQ has a Diplomacy high enough for the top level benefit.  Or they are an idiot...

The only other use for the ability is the invulnerability.  That has a lot of uses.

No, let me be Frank.

I've had multiple RoSS rot just from doing the explorer points in Sands across multiple lives since it is exclusive.

Smart players know how to use buyback.

I will not chone.

I did what I did intentionally and while my primary purpose was not to annoy the other Vaulties, I acknowledge that it was a side effect.

Smart people don't elicit "side effects."  They understand in advance the consequences of their actions.

Warlocks' relative power increase came with U29, at which point it became more relatively powerful at cap than it had been even before the nerfs. The speed records are mostly old since a lot of folks never really knew or cared about the thread or the purported records it contained.

It's important to remember that speed runs, while impressive, don't necessarily reflect the power of a given class in any meaningful way. Realistically, people don't always get keys in the first room they go into, they don't get the super buff every time they drink tea, they don't always use buff pots, and they don't get lucky with crits every time they run every quest. The statistic that we would need to accurately measure relative speeds of classes at completing content would be the average solo completion times for each quest done by each class, and that's something that we obviously don't and can't have access to. Even if we had that statistic, it wouldn't tell us much because people have different styles of play and different levels of skill, and styles of play/skill levels are not evenly distributed across all the classes.

Everyone is going to have different experiences playing different classes, everyone is going to have a different favorite class/style of play, and everyone is going to disagree about which class is the overall best/worst.

Nobody is going to be able to conclusively prove anything other than their personal preferences, and given that fact, I think this discussion has run its course.

Not to mention you can't really measure the time it takes to do something right now.

5 mins actually questing
30 mins floating in the air because of lag

I can confirm it is equally quick to Alt+F4 on any class.

By super buff I obviously don't mean getting one of the bad top level benefits.

You misunderstand what they're referring to with AWtQ.

The only buff Shiradi care about getting from AWtQ is the one that gives:
Quote:
Joy of the Queen - Love:
+10 Royalty bonus to all ability scores. In addition, your spells gain a 50% chance to generate a random effect (as Double Rainbow on Prism Stance but at 50% chance instead of 7%).

There is also the bonus buff that gives this:
Quote:
Indulgence of the Mad Queen :
Occasionally, when you achieve a critical success, you have a small chance (~2%) to proc an additional buff: (Duration: 45 seconds) While this buff is active, all of your spells and every ranged attack you made has a 100% chance to generate a random effect (as Double Rainbow on Prism Stance).

There is something around a 1-2% chance to get the Love of the Queen and a 2% of whatever your critical success chance on AWtQ is of getting the bonus buff on top of Love of the Queen which likely amounts to 0.04% chance of getting both.

Using a super buff that's available 2% of the time and unlimited spell point potions to do a speed run is a good proof of concept of the maximum possible potential of a build, but it is most certainly not an accurate indicator of the average performance of said build over the course of multiple missions.  It's an extreme outlier to the average.

For an apples to apples comparison, highly skilled players would need to do speedruns on the same content without Love of the Queen and without chugging spell point potions like a fat kid eating candy.

I must be playing a different game, because I haven't found warlock to be high DPS.  Sure DC warlocks are really strong at the moment, but they lag behind wizard shiradi spammers as far as I'm concerned.

The vast majority of average players, noobs, and casuals will play warlock for 5 minutes and conclude that they are the best because they are easy. It takes little to no skill, gear, game knowledge, investment, etc. It is hard to do wrong, just spend AP randomly, equip correct flavor of spellpower then hold down left mouse button and they are blowing away every other class played at that same minimal optimization level while at least not embarrassing themselves in front of optimized players. The epitome of faceroll.

the times will reflect that. For instance, I did a half ass solo a while back in break ranks. Before new amrath update. my time on a 12fvs, without real joy, using 4 mem pots was 15min. The record at the time was goldie and yeela at 7 minutes and some seconds. Both of them had 10+ potions used and good joy proc. Pretty sure with new feats, items, and spells that record should be like 5 minutes now.

I don't think naming names would be a good thing for me to do, but I'd pretty much add anyone who's a know-it-all dick on the list. Even if they are sometimes intelligent with their opinions, the way they state them in long, "i'm a lawyer at trial"-type posts makes me want to punch them in the face. They act like whiney babies with god complexes and then freak out if someone so much as breathes criticism in their direction.
