Ok, the
thread about clerics from the other day sparked a request from a friend who just returned to DDO after a long hiatus to build a "useful cleric." However, heavy restrictions apply, so it's a bit of a challenge. I'd appreciate a second opinion.
I think this may be viable as a first lifer, too (which is why I'm sharing). Once you collect all your gear and unlock all your EDs, I think you could get the DCs within a few points of some of the other terror builds posted recently.
This is NOT a top-tier DPS build! There's nothing earth-shatteringly new in here. It's designed specifically to meet these restrictions:
1) He only has 1 character to TR, and it's a 1st life Rogue.
2) He has no EDs unlocked or leveled.
3) He wants it to be useful as it levels (not after 18 million epic XP and 10 lives).
4) Tier 5 radiant servant for aura & burst healing (yeah, I know), and
4) useful via ranged, not melee, because a dead cleric is a useless cleric.
So, given all that, I put together a zen archery/AA 15 cleric/4 ranger/1 fighter - specifically for paralyzing arrows. I tried to make the /3 monk and shuriken work, but it was feat starved and AP constrained. Going straight DC-based caster would be a challenge with no spell pen PLs. This at least allows paralyzing arrows at DC 60-ish, absolutely solid healing for raids, and better-than-nothing DPS.
Again, not an uber build, but maybe you guys can find something I've missed or something to tweak to make it work a little better.
Oh, the feats listed here are what he'd have to choose leveling up. There are plenty of better epic/destiny feats, but they'd have to come later, after EDs are unlocked.
