	So I was reading the equal parts inane and insane thread on player housing started by Leslie with a guitar up the ass west and noticed that there is a level to their delusional fanboism. They seem to think turbine can't afford to give up on DDO that they have done nothing but constantly improve their quality over the years. That turbine needs DDO to stay alive as a company. If I'd thought that dumb cunt was capable of an even occasional bit of thought before that chic just went kamikaze out of a red wood with not a feather yet grown. I mean even people who do still like the game can generally agree on the loss of quality over time.

	That idea is such a waste of time. Particularly how he wants to implement it. If it was done as a player airship where anywhere there was an airship portal you had the option of going to your guild airship or your personal airship (or buying a personal airship with shards if you want), then it would be fine. Re-use the current smaller airship maps. Just make some new amenitites and such. Lower dev investment. Gives something for those who want this. Make a revenue source that isn't P2Win. Just pure cosmetics. I'd be fine with something like that. (although it is still below content and races and real systems on my want list) But no. He wants to build castles and wizard towers and thieves guild halls and such. As much as that would be interesting in a world of unlimited resources and a vibrant game community etc etc etc, it's completely pie in the sky, dreamland bullshit in DDO.

	Realistically all anyone really wants is more BtC storage. I wouldn't mind a house to do it. I like the idea of private airships, or cabins on the guild airship. I think this was how EQ did it: you had an instanced guild hall, then the guild had some land behind the hall divided into plots. That meant only so many players in a guild could have a home, but taking a less limited concept of cabins to DDO's airships would work.

	I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

	Dude... I went on the mobos and read a bit of that lesliewest thread... oh god is that guy both full of himself and a moron. Like wtf? How can ANYONE be that self-important? And the discussion about an expansion on the mobos? Basically just a bunch of people saying "I want a completely different game I can access through my DDO client."

	That douche fell all over himself to invite me to his guild because I was in the army then stalked me here and booted me because of what I said here. Vanguard had the whole open world lay claim to some land for a personal home another for guilds had ships and moi ts to all fun if the game had been able to hold a population . but such things always become.e needless as communities shrink. Most newcomers to MMO see empty expanses for hours and they go well shit least on solo games I get artificial interaction.

This is where some intelligent programming comes in. You add more landscape only as the prior stuff hits 80% full or whatever you decide is your capacity management objective.
