Getting saves into a FVS?

PLayign an evoker build, but its soft as hell and also has no saves or damage mitigation
I am fine to splash 2 levels of something else. Was thinking rog and going INT for dex saves (helps spellcraft too)
I could splash monk, but if you dont have decent dex, it doenst help you anyway. I am currently on 22 dex save and need at least 60 without gimping my damage too much...
any ideas?

Why the Hell do you need 60 reflex on a FVS?

You're neglecting all kinds of FVS spell effects, rubedude; also, FVS/Pal splash for saves leaves an open level (17 fvs, 2 pal, and the rest is between you and the Lord of All Things Great & Small.)

38 reflex save.
Off the top of my head:
+8 with a 2 Pal splash
+4 Good Luck
+12? Resistance item (I don't know how high resistance goes now)
+x insightful reflex item
Don't ask me how to fit that into gear, though, I have no clue anymore.
Plus twists:
+6 Magister: Unearthly Reactions T1
+6 Shadowdancer: Lithe T2
+2 Sentinel : Brace T1
I'm sure you'd be gimping yourself taking those though.

right. there is no way that a low 22 reflex could be on a capped fvs.

Hes not capped and I havent bothered trying to scrape a few extra points. 40 reflex save is no good
So if I cant get saves, what are people doing for defense on a FVS? Cant imagine AC or DR get to much either
The pali splash doesnt give you much after the nerf

Rubbinss was saying that a current save of 22 was impossibly low. That even without effort you could get better. Not that 38 was the max an FvS could get.
An FvS with no splash can easily get into the 40's.

Ahh, I misunderstood.
But yeah, easy enough to get your saves up.
For defense, just like anyone else, max your dodge, blur/displace, ghostly. PRR and MRR, all you can find, there is some in the Warpriest tree, not too high up. Use a shield or orb, turtle up when you're about to be hit with a spell. Pally splash gets you heavy armour, use it.

What is there to save anyway ? Fire elly and those kobold shamen dragon breath in Search and rescue ?
At least for me every death is due to melee damage.

Why such a focus on saves? If the issue is survivability, why not go for PRR? Going all out for 60 reflex save doesn't seem nearly as useful as getting 100 or so PRR.
I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

Saves are nice, if you're actually close enough to actually save. 22 reflex in EE is the same as 44 reflex. So, you fail your roll by 20 more, but it's the same end effect.
Get some dodge, get some MRR, get some PRR. There's enough shields that you can slot useful stuff into if you're desperate, especially if a caster. Not like you're trying to swing a greatsword there buddy.

that's three feats though...I was trying to make a clonk work for the extra wisdom, but with completionist, spell penetration chain, necro chain, quicken, heighten, intensify, past life : wizard what do you drop to fit the feats in?

Aye, I have light armour on my fvs, resistance on belt, buncha prr lives, slotted dex, insight dex, max dodge possible. Scrolling GH after every bloody shrine since 2009 lol.
Doesn't change the fact that I can't remember the last death to spell damage.
Okay I do - pre nerf Thunder Peaks.
