Best overall build played with only 2 buttons?

Lets say we want a break from all these fancy builds, and want to totally relax. What's the most relaxed build that can be played using only left and right mouse button and keyboard to move, while still contributing? Maybe I"m overthinking this and there's a good undead build that auto heals off auto attacking ranged that can be played with just auto attack?

Bladeforged chain warlock with reconstruct?

Mechanic with cocoon?

Non-10k Stars shuriken build?

another game i play, a popular tactic is to bind pretty much every fucking thing you can to space bar and then just move around spamming that one button

considering that would open up more options that fit your prerequisite. in fact, the best build with 2 tricks might still play worse than a real build with everything bound to one button with only cooldowns to regulate the order

I've been running with 12 fighter 6 bard 2 rogue Kensai... so far it's been disgustingly good and all I need to do is just stab people.

Technically you could click your hotbars and still only use the one button. I get the feeling you want to turn off the UI and pretend it's a FPS though.

You should really get a mouse with more buttons if you want to play that way.

I would go with shuriken if you can bind 10k to a 3rd button. Otherwise, it's blaster warlock.

Even with 10k it can be relaxing. Auto-attack is viable if you move in the right way, so stretching my left pinkie up to ` to hit another 10k every minute or so doesn't feel like work.

I need to get mine back to more Monk, less Ranger. Too much like work, those Ranger trees.

Aura Warlock

4 hotkeys only so that your fingers will never reach past #4 ...

1. Burst
2. Burst
3. Renewal
4. Shining Through

Game over.

Would need something with auto aim and or fast ranged attack. Why bother with melee or aura, that involves chasing mobs and is too much work. Maybe chain warlock but still you have to aim.

This has me wondering about coming back to DDO just to make a build that could work out with like 6 buttons but with the caveat that they be bound to a gamepad. Could be an interesting change to game play to play with a gamepad only. I'm wondering about movement though...anyone ever work out a good scheme for DDO movement with just a gamepad?

Aura+burst warlock. Left hand you move around. Right hand with your mouse you only have to click burst1, burst2, and occassionally a heal. Very relaxing, I'm playing little else. No more fucking "you don't face enemy", and no problems with healing because you don't have to target anything, you just move towards groups of enemies. It's so ridiculous.

There are no settings to figure out.  <ALT>z, then F1.  Done.

If you are targetting yourself, the pew pew auto-targetting will fail. It would work on a cone warlock.

I’m not sure a “relaxed” build needs to be limited to 2 buttons.  If you have your hotkeys set up right you can easily fit in a 6 key setup (R, F, T, G, mouse buttons) and drift off into a mode similar to driving on an empty highway.

That’s a description for working at Turbine.  My analogy is more about running around DDO on autopilot while binge watching a TV show.  (I hear Tilo is preparing to watch the Tick series on Amazon.)
