Slavers gear - runs required?

There was a lot of speculation, but I'm curious: now that it's been out for a few weeks, how many runs does it really take to assemble, say, a few pieces of heroic loot? I'm interested in getting back to Heroics in a few more lives.

Zero. Because Slaver's heroic is fucking garbage. You want garbage? Open any chest = grind done.

I had my main @ lvl 10 when it came out. It's tougher @10 than 30. Took 5 runs for a complete PRR and resistance ring w/ master's voice slotted.

Jade ring -- slavers ring -- wgu ring, for my tr cycles done manually now.

YMMV but everyone agrees it must be run for lolz anyway @ lvl10.

Mobs hit harder than Vale...

I got the helm and armor in the process.

Everything named in Slaver's has a green slot, which is pretty sweet.  Upgrading the heroic stuff depends on how much time you spend in low levels.  Level 8 gear is blown past quickly, but throw it on at L8 and you can wear it all the way to L20 if you like.  I do the same with the masters trinket and cloak currently, and the fact that the Slaver's Trinket has 2 augment slots makes it a good replacement.

* crafted item: spell focus +2
* ring or orb: quality spell focus +1
* staff: insightful spell focus evo/conj +1
* set: artifact spell focus +1 (3 items) or +2 (5 items)
+1 quality casting attribute
+1 artifact casting attribute
(+1 profane attribute if robot / heavy armor user)

TL;DR: +7 to spell DCs at level 8

You're looking at 4-5 runs hitting every chest to finish one Heroic item, and some good luck since the number of mats is random.

The ingredients are quest specific though, so you can just grind the ones you need.

I can't speak to Legendary, as I have less than zero interest in Legendary questing (all what, 5 quests of it?)

I will agree to disagree with Rev here, the stuff is pretty tits out at level. With complete customization that equips to multiple slots and is bound to account. Win/Win/Win.

The real question is whether or not you're willing to grind out "Mini-Greensteel" that's gonna be good for a few levels before you get real GS; or whatever else you're hiding in the TR cache.

Really, I'm just in it for the cosmetics. That Executioner's Helm is fucking pimp. The chiselled abs Slave Rags aren't bad either.

that would have been great pre motu for dc casters. getting mid 40s dcs around lv 15, on 28pt builds w/o tomes, is very easy now.

i wouldnt bother grinding heroic. waste of time when i could be grinding le. unless for some reason you want 65 evo dc for heroics on your all lives, geared to the teeth, and +7 tomes toon.

i love playing dc casters in heroic. divines are more fun to me than arcane. just not so when i hit epic. really easy on any cleric and life. grab any slas i can get(dd is a powerful tree in heroics), bb, smite, and divine punish while i never stop running. radiance/kinetic/fire lore and spell power gear. fit in devotion somewhere and done.

Actually imho lvl 8 is a pretty good level for a character to grow out of Korthos gear because there's some moderately challenging content ahead - EBB Chrono, TOEE, ..Slave Lords..



Anyways, I think most people look down on the gear because of the +5 attribute thing. We're kinda used to have +6 in heroics.

As for the grind... yeah. I have not crafted anything yet. But I still have some mules that I want to run through the content for some favor, on two accounts. And the stuff costs 1/4 of legendary.

so basicly the slaver ml8 gear is good just for stuff u dont need to run:)
