	Sat, 01 Oct 2016 04:58:52 +0000 The DDO game worlds will be unavailable from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Saturday, October 1st for a hotfix. This will correct an issue with quest Ransack. Wow even they realised how much they fucked up and planned a hotfix for a saturday. On the upside if they break something beneficial for the players it'll be up for atleast one and a half days

	What I found annoying about DDO is that every hotfix and patch seems to require re-downloading all 8-10Gb of data files or has that changed in recent times? You're better of waiting a week or so and missing the first few patches and hotfixes. Used to flabbergast me that they can't update just the data files affected - like most other games - but they're Turdbine and special snowflakes ofc.

Agreed, it's a PITA, but that would require someone competent on Turdbine's side, so it ain't gonna happen. I used to run DDO on 4 machines to multi-box, and I quickly learned to update only once and copy it to the other machines or watch my data allowance disappear after an update. When I last played, I just ran the game off USB3 drives and it was so much easier.

If the PyLOTRO one doesn't do that, then I guess it is the Turdbine Launcher that is doing it then? Nice to know thanks Flav for those folks with limited data allowances.

	it shouldn't, for me it's in the gamelogic file, or maybe in the general ( but I have doubts for the general, for me it's a gamelogic. ) The client map is just the map ( 1 for Eberron 2 for Faerun ). They might have noticed stuck points and/or safe spots in Slavers that they wanted to fix/remove. Now since it looks like it's the same package as the one they delivered with Patch 1 they might have just recompiled the whole patch with the fix and be done with it. Recompiling will change the timestamp on the Records, which will force the iterationsnumber to be increased, thus making the updater update the files. ( even if there's no need for it, it wouldn't be the first time they did it ) Knowing exactly what's in the file would involve catching them on the fly, and copying them before they get processed. and then comparing them from the previous one. ( the iteration number is incremental, that's how the patcher knows it needs to patch a specific dat file or not )

	nope crackhead... The most interesting bit is Cordovan looking for help in all the channels because they couldn't reproduce it. Personally I had my minute ( well day ) of importance when I was 11 year old, since then, I'm what you'd call blas�... ( ended up in the front page of the regional newspaper shacking hand with the then current Frog President. ) I'm convinced I wasn't the only one to give the relevant information, and I'm not fully convinced what I gave was relevant...
