If you're running as mostly Wiz... You should have enough pts in INT to compensate for the skill pts lost.
It boils down to personal preference of Free Feats vs. skill pts.
Since Search and Disable are the only truly necessary skills for trapping, I'll take the feats.

Which is why it was qualified with "if". Or did you miss that? Perhaps I should have qualified further with: "If you're running Helf/Elf/Drow Racial past Lives you can take Arcane Fluidity."
Morninglord was a gaff. My bad.
Otherwise, proceed as normal.

MAY get more mileage from 1 Arty over 1 rogue for faster, easier steamrolling.
