Rubble seems to be an orange named one with CR 6/8/10 on n/h/e. But I won't be surprised if some of the monsters in the internal monster manual list are not spawning and you don't really have to kill all of them, just almost all.

Problem is that right now we're short 3 to get a deed from the MM, so we're trying everything we can to find what's spawning, and where.
Same for bats, stuck at 11 and can't find a 12th that would spawn for the hunter deed.

I've seen Rubble quite recently - I remember being surprised that there was a named earth ele in the quest. But, of course, I can't bloody remember where. Possible candidates are lowbie free stuff (was levelling up an arti to stone it). Could be House P since I was running epic stuffs but I can't see it on the monster list after a quick look.

Gah! It's really bugging me now.

Same thought here...

But since the only character I've played at low level recently TRd and used a stone my quest list is nearly empty, it gives some better clues when I look through the completed quest lists...

Ruined Halls
Lair of Summoning

If I ran into it this life, these are the only two that seem like something like that could appear.

Yeah, I remember it being 'out of place' with the other stuff.  But I remember dying to a named earth ele on Iron Mines a couple months back and thinking it might have been there.

I want to say it's Forgotten Caverns, where the 3 or 4 earth eles are before you go through the door to the trolls, but I might be completely off base there.

None of those are named and I've never seen any of them be named. There's something like 5 mediums and 1 large.

I did, Grasping at straws and running quests trying to help.  Yes, I ran Threnal to help.

I don't think it's Threnal, I found it recently and I haven't run Threnal in ages. Plus isn't the CR rating Rodrak (thanks  Kiss ) found for us a bit low for Threnal?

CR is too low to be Threnal. You actually have it in your monster manual, Tere?

That's not a proof he's in low level quest though. They can scale everything now. Challenge mobs are listed at 1 HP or so.

There's a few locked doors in old quests with optionals behind them that are way off the usual track people take in the quest. Have you tried Lair of Summoning's earth ele area? Locked doors in the Depths?

The big thing that sucks is that it's a rare, so it's not guaranteed to pop, even 15 runs later. So maybe people have run right by where it might be, but he wasn't there so they gave it up.

At this point, it's going to be random luck that someone stumbles into him. Also, most of the older stuff is so well known. I can't see how an orange named would slip past everyone who updates the wiki.
