Same with 404Error.  If the douche (And he is a total douche) comes here and finds about an ML leak, he's gotta try and plug it.

I feel bad for you.

I actually liked 404error. He would, if you pestered him enough, answer some questions.

I don't but that at all.  Just looking at my guild and the vault population, I see a huge exodus of former hardcore players.  They may keep getting new people who say sweet let me try this game but never really invest and I know they have gotten a lot of fake accounts for the Cube pet but the number of committed players are down.  Whatever number they have on their reports is totally false and artificially inflated.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

The rest of the quote was "...not shrinking and cutting people."  It referred to staff size, not player population.

I wouldn't bet on there being fewer players, either for or against.  To them its all about spending, not how many are logging on.  Haven't logged on but still ViP?  Haven't spent in months and now you aren't logging on?  Either of those is a cause for concern but isn't impacting their finances.  Yet.

/shrug

I never had an issue with him and he seemed to answer stuff that I asked without BS like most of the devs.

IDK, that looks more like he quit than was laid off.  Could go either way, but that sounds like it was his choice.

404 error was laid off.  It was absolutely not his choice.

That's me. I stopped playing basically in March. I'd just bought the pre-order as well as the big TP bundle but positive RL changes took me away from the game. I hop on every now and then but my kids are always getting me to play Wizard101 or Pirate101 with them and I've got less gaming time in general now so I rarely find time to play DDO.

So here I am, a yearly VIP that just expired at the very end up September, most of the game bought despite being VIP, and sitting on a stack of 14k'ish TP's. I still log in on occasion. I was an active player that'd spent quite a bit on their game in the past. But I don't foresee me buying any more TP's ever nor buying another expansion. I'm not sure how they'd figure that out numbers-wise but I'm probably not the only person that falls into that category right now.

Even though I haven't played the game in about 6 months. I still pay the every 3 month subscription. I even received an email saying I haven't logged into ddo in awhile, and there email was regarding the newest update and I should check it out.
So I'm sure they have some way to see I still pay, but just haven't logged in.

I already know it works in reverse for the people who don't pay or play, and get emails to come back to ddo.
