Cool. I just like to get a full understanding of how it works. I usually don't play melee so...
Anyway, it looks like everyone likes the 15p/3r/2f Shadow Plate Khopesh build on these forums.... funny how the mother forums are so pro 15/5 and dance of death. I think I like the pally KoTC tree better anyway so... 15/3/2 it is.
Thanks for all the input.
Now, I just need to clean out my TR bank... seems to be the hardest part of it all...

Then why not 15/4/1fighter and get ram's might?
Which feat are you getting from second fighter that beats +2 STR / +2 dmg?

That's probably a better split, I didn't do it because I didn't think of it while drunk, rage-TRing, and making up the build as I was going.

At that point, why not just go 15/5?

an extra feat is nice and if you're not going to commit all those APs to the Tempest tree for Dance of Death 5 ranger levels not worth it.
Haste boost is also cheaper in Kensai.

I think for feats I am ok. I went human and am now 4pal/2ranger:
1- Khopesh and Precision
3- TWF Defense
6- Empower Healing
9- IC slash
12- ITWF
15- GTWF
18- Maximize?
21- OC
24- Epic DR
27- Blinding Speed
ED Feats:
26- PTWF
28- PTHF

You can give that feat up for anything else you'd want.

Maximize?
Most likely not needed as you have empower and could swap it for quicken on cures and shorten other animations like cocoon.

I added those feats because there wasn't anything else I really wanted. TW defense gave some PR. Maximize for the lower level spells and ranger spells. PTHF I can drop if there are no glancing blows. I could add quicken in, but again...not truly needed. I never had this issue where I had more open feat slots with not enough really useful feats.

Update 5: Bastard Swords when wielded by a proficient user as a Single Weapon or Sword and Shield will now produce Glancing blows on enemies around wielder. The glancing blows are increased by Two Handed Fighting feat chain and enhancements that increase the effectiveness of them.
I don't see them on my BS twf fighter trainwreck of agony and stupidity. But then again, as much as I cleave it is hard to tell.
Would BS out perform khopesh/cleaves with MF procs on glance? I was under the impression the max of it was about 25% or so and then it was only ONE of the special effects that fired.

I think it would in mob dense quests and makes up for the crit multiplier being lower by giving glances on single targets.

Could be true. My trash sword is 1st degree burns tier 1, paralyzing fear tier 2, mortal fear tier 3. That is too many procs for me to test out.

I went with Wrath of ... for t2 simply because the AE damage. My bard and Monk have zero issues staying alive. It is really strange, my barbarian is easier to run through eOrchard than my fighters or ranger; none of which have Mortal Fear..
Does PF cause held damage?

Yes and no save if proc'd. Works on everything that isn't red named or purple.

I thought that paralyze did not give the helpless damage bonus of +50%, but hold person (nerve toxin, pin, sleep etc) did.

Never knew that. I just wiki'd it. Paralysis from weapons does not cause helplessness.

So confusing. That works, but some other knockdowns wont trigger helpless damage.
Cometfall Knockover
Command/Greater Command
Cyclonic Blast Knockdown
Trip
All 4 do not according to wiki.

Sounds about right.
Balanced Attacks and Overwhelming Force DO make their targets helpless.

Did I miss a memo? AA isn't fun since they nuked stacking and I'm trying to find a way to motivate myself to get this character to 28.
As the only ranged toon I ever played is a Arti - can I get a hint what changed for AAs? Do you mean the "get all the bow enhancements activ at the same time" thingy or something else? Thanks, error.

going off-topic but AAs are still awesome. The broken stacking was fun but come on, you couldn't expect that to last. Adrenaline and Slayer Arrows are still really strong.
My Tempest Ranger switched to AA for EE Mark of Death, sure I'm losing some melee DPS but the biggest loss, Dance of Death, isn't missed at all in that raid.
With the group I usually run with it's fine and controlled until it gets to the "mark" phase with the final Abbot beatdown, having a big burst of ranged damage pays off when the Abbot moves around a lot and stands in the blue-shit clouds which make melee problematic. Adrenaline + manyshot + Slaying arrows + Snipershot pays off here.
The monkchers are way better at this that the mostly-rangers, I still melee when manyshot is on timer.

Yep.
You can only get two going now last I heard.
