hey
I'm not defending turbine or anything cause lol
and I'm not implying anything
but breaks are a thing. It's sort of the law
if you had a job you might have known that
again not implying anything
shame about the "extra floor space" but the pac man thing may not have been completed in a day
It's ok HAL, you don't have to pussy foot around here.
You're actually allowed to express an opinion on this forum.
When I look at that picture, I don't think about their law entitled breaks.
I think about the perception it creates....
"Hey, we just saw a whole host of people get fired, so we're gonna turn their workspaces into a fun Pacman game!" Yay!
Or how about, "we can't keep the servers running, manage lag or fix major bugs, but we sure know how to use 20 rolls of masking tape!!!" Lol.
Who knows, this might be a coping mechanism for the survivors. They might well have done it collectively on break time (but I doubt it). There is a fair bit of work involved in getting layout and relative dimensions right.
I know all the BS about a happy workplace, and Google and Facebook are desired employers, but they actually have successful businesses to justify it. Their employees are top shelf, productive and accountable. IMHO, Turdbine is at the other end of that spectrum and goofing off to find their creative energies would not be my mgmt directive.
But for someone disappointed in where the game has gone and is going, call it an unfounded hunch but I don't feel as though my subs are being well spent.
Produce a stable, profitable product, and then start running round the office in costumes groping each other under the guise of "I'm a Pacman ghost!"
