Most of the monkchers I see on server are using force arrows. 
If you fuck up simple thing as arrow imbue, what else did you fuck up that people cant see?

Possibly, but I know enough to know a monkcher cannot compete with the DPS of modern melee in most situation.  I mean if you can line up a zillion mobs and IPS them all sure, but that's it.

Monkcher survivability is still better, but we're not talking about that we're talking damage.  And still, since "armor up" melee survivability has reached the point where 99% of the time melee's are fine.

Soloing EE Stormhorns quests is easier than Elite Amrath used to be at 80 AC, and I can face-tank Deathknights in EE Mark of Death.  Every monkcher I've seen try this, including Sestra who arguably was one of the best of them, hasn't lived.

Big difference between then and now is now 6 people can keep a blitz going at all times, though it's not as good as it used to be. 

Ranged blitzing has been terribly nerfed also.  What used to be really strong is pretty awful right now.  Kinda leaves Fury as the only viable option which is still good, but it's burst.  A blitzing melee can sustain it for a full quest, even a boss fight.

Have you seen what the current barbarians can do?  And Turbine's gonna buff them again because most players are so terrible they can't build a good toon.

My guildie solo'd EE CiTW on a barb.  I've probably group'd with that toon for 20-30 hours and have seen what it was capable of doing, and it was awesome.

This is why you can't balance stuff for the capabilities of the mediocre player.

Maybe in the hands of mediocre players Monkchers are the best DPS, but they sure as shit are not in the hands of experienced players.

I apsolutely hate that raid so i never attempted it on ee, doubt il ever do it either.

Big issue i have with turdbine when it comes to balancing classes is that they listen to retards and not people who play the thing they want to balance in all end game content and people who know exactly how the buffed to be thing performs.
Casuals were never meant to be the population you balance something around imo
